View Full Version : Apparently I have a credit card

Apparently, according to the bank, I have 1k in credit card debt stopping me fomr getting a loan. So I did a credit report, apparently it was started in November of 06. When I was 16, which is not legal. Also, somone tryed to get a mortgage in my name also. The co applicant on the card is my ex-wife. The phone numbers for it, are my grandmas, and my ex-wife. Not mine. Now isnt that kinda funny.

Befor I left my ex she wouldnt let me get the mail and took my mail key to the multi box. One day, I got it and there were credit card offers from a specific company, which is the one I apparently have (not stupid enough to give out the company name).

One time we got ina fight and she hid my camera in a 2 droor file cabinet locked, so I broke the lock to get it. Thats when I found all my mail, which was like 3 credit card offers from different companys and some bill thins from the said company. I payed no attention to it and asked why the hell she took the specific mail. She said "She didnt want me to get a credit card and ruin my credit". I was 16-17. So I left her. Were divorced.

I believe this was her doing, but because we were married there are certain things that made a minor able to do. So, would this fall into that? I want to get a lawyer and have this taken care of. Ive disputed the charges, and the card all together. And am tryign to get a police report and investigation done, except the lazy *** woman is never in the station, "out to lunch or not in today".

She also, technically molested me when I 15. And id liek to take care of that also. Either way, regaurdless of whom it is, is this a lawsuit waiting to happen uppon there capture? Ive so far been turned down to, get 4 cars worth of money, a ring, and legal fees for my divorce. This has caused alot of problems and anguish for me. Any serious opinions please chim in.

keep disputing it
but get a secured credit card adn try to build up ur credit again
thats all u can do until u get it fixed
and maybe put a fraud alert on your credit file for the future

cleaning up your credit is harder then having good credit

for anyone who DIDNT have this problem yet or dont want it:

ADD FRAUD ALERT to your credit file!
dont be stupid

a lot of people i know have this company:
http://lifelock.com/

works great
i use it as well.

Ouch..... That's shifty. How old was she when you were 16. You really can tell when situations such as this one occur, when a young guy spends too much time on milf hunter. They try to make a dream becomeba reality. ..... Jus playin man. But I hope u change some things around. I'm pretty sure since you two were married, you can't press charges against an ex spouse on molestation charges. But it must have sucked to have a wife that could ground you. I could only see it now. "your grounded! No camera for a week! Give it to me I'll give it back when you behave!"

Sorry you had to go through that. Plus side is atleast you didn't have any kids then she stripped you in child support to.
We make mistakes. And learn from them. And try to fix the ones that are moldable. Good luck man

omg, this is by far the funniest thread yet! not so much whats in the OP, but what everyone else is posting! lmao

get one of them college credit cards. thats how i started building credit. started off with a 300 limit and a ridiculous 19% apr the day i turned 18. im 20 now with one of many credit cards with 9.9apr and 4500 limit. that college card helped alot.

good luck getting approved for anything now. with the state the economy is in... no body getting approved for shit.

far as the whole dispute with the ex-wifey thing... don't stop.. all i can say is don't get lazy. thats straight up identity theft if you boil it down.. using your name in credit cards you didn't know about?? its a felony dude. not sure how strict your state laws are but u better shove every single one of em up her ass..

Yes, but in some cases wives say they are raped and they have been charged. He was still a minor and I suppose could say it was such. Especially since he divorced her?

Well like esmorez said that is very true. I guess all I can say is uhm... "when in Rome..." or in this particular case... If the glove fits, hide it in the back of your white bronco. Either way, hopefully you can hold it in court ad far as the molesting stuff goes.

corey definately check your state laws. And as a future reference, don't post this kind of shit on public forums hahaha call a lawyer and a therapist.
.... In no particular order. :D

you were 16-17 when you got married?

I searched your ex-wife on myspace using that email you gave

she's 30 years old

how did she molest you anyways?!

you need to contact some type of fruad agency and dispute this quick

murda-c
01-03-2009, 11:36 AM
Well first thing you need to do is go to grandma and cut off her oxygen tank then kick her walker when she's walking, and make sure she knows that if you kill her everyone will just assume it was old age.

Then once you've thoroughly intimidated her, you need to team up with her against your ex wife.

To those asking how she "technically" molested him. Look at the disparity in ages.
He's in Maryland and admits apparently to having gotten with her when he was 15... She is 30 now, so the mathematicians among us should be able to see the 4-year backswing, 15 and 26. Personally, when I was 16, I at least had the sense to think what in the hell a chick more than 2-3 years would want with me. It was not until my 20s that I would consider laying it to a chick 10or more years older.

Anyway, the laws are as such:

Maryland:
The age of consent in Maryland is 16. An exception is made when the actor is not at least four years older than the victim. However, if someone in a "position of authority" engages in a sexual act with a minor, he or she may be guilty of sexual offense in the fourth degree as specified by Maryland Code § 3-308.
If she is more than 4 years older in his state, she is guilty.

West Virginia (according to her MySpace):
The age of consent in West Virginia is 16.

§61-8B-5. Sexual assault in the third degree. (a) A person is guilty of sexual assault in the third degree when: (2) The person, being sixteen years old or more, engages in sexual intercourse or sexual intrusion with another person who is less than sixteen years old and who is at least four years younger than the defendant and is not married to the defendant.
Again, the only exception is if they're within 4 years of age, UNLESS ALREADY MARRIED.

They would if he was emancipated.

Seriously though, you fucked up. I'll be one of the first people to tell you to never get married until you are fully settled and at minimum 40 years old. Enjoy the good years while you have them. Don't let some bitch (no offense to most women) ruin your life, ESPECIALLY at that age, which she did.

Second, you need to stay on top of the credit issue. Even an emancipated minor I don't think can get credit under 18, which means it was all her. Since you never technically signed anything, you aren't responsible for it at all.

Last, you need to call Tom Leykis and talk to him. He'll reem you sideways for everything you did, but he can probably offer you some good advice on the situation. Call him during his radio show, which is stationed out here in LA. Here is his website - The Tom Leykis Show - BlowMeUpTom.com (http://blowmeuptom.com/) . I'm sure you can also find some useful links on his website.

Good luck. You're gonna need it.

Jesus, can NOBODY use a simple Google search before speaking from their asses?
He lives in MD, she lives in WV, both of which allow marriage under the age of 18 with parental consent. First result from a Google search:
Marriage Laws > Marriage License Requirements > United States (http://www.usmarriagelaws.com/)

You will need to get the records from your (the one in your name anyway) credit card company. View all the purchases and asks for copies of the transactions when possible (to identify the signatures and possibly prove it was your ex-wife or if you are victim of another form of fraud). If it was your ex-wife, the "Identity Theft and Assumption Deference Act of 1998" makes it a felony to use or transfer the identity (including the SSN, since you are under the age of 18 she would have needed your SSN to even APPLY for the card) of another person in which case you can definitely have the charges removed and eventually prosecute your ex. It sounds to me like you should have someone look into your whole credit history to see if there are any other issues of fraud because in all likely hood there are!

you were the king of the trailer park at 15, and loved it.

you weren't raped. So don't abuse a law that's placed there for people that need it.
