Just seeing what pads you all would recommend that are good street permormance pads and that are quiet. I have z32 30mm front brakes and stock rears. I have a set of pads on the fronts that don't squeal at all right now but the shop that put them on went out of business. They said they got them from California and thats all I know about them. There is a clanking noise from the front during intial braking and also before coming to a complete stop. My new shop thinks it maybe the hardware kit but not sure so we were planning on replacing everything. I have posted this problem before.

brake dust
but i enjoyed the HAWK HPS
on the street and track.
oh i dont run any of that hardware carp
just the pads and the pins to hold it in
no shims or anything threw them away on all my cars when doing brake jobs.

if you're just doing pure street driving, why would u need aftermarket at all?

OEM replacements and bed them properly

Yea, OEM Nissan pads aren't bad at all.

I've never owned a set of Hawk HPS, but have driven many cars with them and wasn't that impressed. Axxis/PBR Ultimates have a little higher coefficient of friction but do take some mild warm up on really cold days(braking torque will definitely change on the 2-3rd stop vs. the first).

I love my Hawk HPS pads. They don't make a sound. I've had them for about three or four months now, and I haven't seen a single particle of brake dust on my wheels. However, that doesn't seem to be the case for some people. I run Brembo drilled and slotted rotors all around.

For DD's i strongly recommend Akebono pads. They produce practically no dust nor noise, while having a nice, progressive feel to them. If you track the car, get hotter hawks and live with the dust and noise.

I dunno ho great they are for performance, but I when I had to stop I never had an issue where they let me down...Posi Quiet ceramic pads. Low dust compared to metal masters I had, and no noise from day one.

I didn't like my Project Mu B-force pads.

Squeaking after a short month, dusty as hell.

I tried Axxis a while back, but noticed after they warmed up, I couldn't stop at all.

I'll be trying Hawk's this time around. My friend has them combined with Powerslot rotors and feels awesome.
