I know the title is bad, but my buddies and I want to go to a shooting range to kick off my homie's bachelor party... I tried google maps but it gave me a bunch of gun shops. anything around hollywood or san fern.

Dude, that's awesome - cheap, and they let you shoot FMJ ammo (instead of the lead-free crap that some places make you shoot). The only other place I know of is the Firing Line in Burbank: http://www.firingline.net/

I'm heading there next week to put a couple hundred more rounds through my CC SW40VE, and shop around for a new target/"match" .45 :)

Do you have to be over 21 to rent the guns at a shooting range in california?

yes for handguns, some places you need to have a second person with you to rent a gun unless you bring one and rent another.

Angeles Crest has a nice outdoor range. I think you might need to provide your own guns/rifles/shotgun.
It has a wide variety of areas like long range, close handgun and clay shooting!

Really?!? Where? I've driven/ridden the Crest all the way to Palmdale, and all the way to the 138 the other way... never noticed a range lol.

If u have rifles, then try angeles range, or oaktree gun club. If u need to rent, I am not sure try downtown

It's off Little Tujunga Canyon Rd. It's pretty hidden, and I think LA SWAT trains there every other thursday. They take half the range, so avoid the days they go.
