can you custom the outer barrel of an already complete 3 piece rim?
i was looking at my rims the other day and when i bought the car off of my friend, i was never satisfied with the width/offset and realized that if someone could just match the bolts that connect the outer and inner barrel of the rim, that i may be able to widen the whole thing altogether.
i may be over-simplifying a very complicated process but just use the:
inner barrel + the face + custom the outer barrel to wider = better offset/width
note: this is not to custom make a brand new rim but just a part of an already existing 3 piece rim.

with a 3 piece wheel it is designed so that you can swap out both inner n outer barrel to customize to the width/offset you want

This is a little off topic. but does anyone know if Veilside Andrew Racing V's are 3 piece and welded under the silicone? My car is burried under 4 ft of snow.
I want wider wheels but I love my wheels to much and I can't find anything in the sizes I want.

when rb told you it was welded under the silicone, didn't they mean that all 3 pieces are welded together? That means you can't even clip it inside out.
Just sell your rims & get new ones! :)

i was thinking about this last night but then i realized that my rims would be 17x8 -30 and 17x9 -38 . . . so . . . that idea failed -________- so much for trying to save money and make my rims look better

I've got a set of Andrew V's that I've taken apart and I'm refinishing them as we speak. They were not welded together.

Is this actually safe, it seems like the lips are thinner and aren't as strong as the inner barrels, could flipping a 3 piece be potentially vert dangerous/possibly ruin your wheels/crash your car? I know it is ok to flip a 2 piece wheel, but I'm still wondering about 3 piece
