I wanted to know if anyone knows of anyone in So.Cal who can make a carbon fiber Exhaust Heat Shield OR... If there is one premade that I can buy.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, here it is:
GTSpec Carbon Fiber Bumper Exhaust Heat Shield - 2004-06 WRX/STi (http://subydriver.com/gtimbuexhesh.html)
It's for a wrx though.
I searched for it but i found nothing thanks in advance :D

i've seen people have them in aluminum but people usually just cut and put them where they want them.
But if you want C/f you could just get a sticker to go over it?
idk. sorry not much help.

They are worthless unless you shoot hella flames. Just make one out of sheet metal that you can get from lowes or so.

I used aluminum flashing - it's the same stuff rain gutters and whatever are made out of. Comes in 2ft wide rolls, just buy a foot of that and cut/drill/rivet it on.
My advice (as far as looks go) is to not make it run too high "up" the bumper, because they look helllla tacky.
In the future, get your exhaust to stick out more:

Wouldn't carbon fiber melt easily? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think the melting point of carbon fiber would be much higher than that of a urethane or fiberglass bumper. It just seems like another tacky accessory for all the carbon fiber obsessed STi owners. Just extend your exhaust.

The resin used determines the "melting point", because it's the resin that melts, not the carbon itself. Dry carbon has extremely high heat tolerances, and there are plenty of high temp resins out there.
I'm sure Kognition could elaborate.

I wanted it to be Carbon Fiber though... I do have some flames coming out, enough to soot up the bumper which is what I want to block...
And I didnt want to do sheet metal or any other metal, I prefer the carbon fiber.
Thanks!

I'll quote Dave Coleman from SCC magazine for this one.
"Installing a heat shield on your bumper, around your exhaust, to prevent a fire makes you a riceboy.
Installing a heat shield on your bumper, around your exhaust, to prevent another fire makes you a badass."

Yea, If my exhaust wasn't custom aluminum and I could possibly space it without doing welding I may. But I like it where it is and I just don't want to ruin my paint once I get it.
$152.44 on an carbon-fiber exhaust heat shield

Something about 2008.
Not just here but everywhere, 2008 people are teh suck.
I used to set my coupes rear bumper on fire, I burnt out all the guts of my N1 - My tune was horrible as we were working on problems. Once I got the good tune, no more problems.
Should I buy an SAFC, siiiigh.
