okay. so.

i have this knocking sound that seems to be coming from the front left wheel.

it varies by speed. slower at slow speeds and faster at higher speed.

it seems like i can feel it in the floorboard with my feet when its happening.

if i turn even ever so slightly it goes away.

if im braking it goes away.

i took the wheel off and poked around and everything seemed okay, but something has to be making that noise.

its driving me insane and i have no idea what is causing it. help.

Warped rotor or the wheel bearing is shot.

sounds like maybe a rotor...especially since it varies in speed/ revolution speed

you really think a warped rotor would stop making noise when turning?

brakes seem fine. no pulsating pedal or shimmying/shaking when braking. no pulling to either side. the clunking goes away when im braking.

idk about turning? maybe its putting enough pressure on it to not make it grind? idk man

Either the rotor or wheel bearing would load up just enough to silence a light noise when turning. Check for end play in the bearing as well as fore/aft movement, then move on to the rotor.

check the lugs. my z did that and then the wheel fell off... they might just need to be tightend.

im young and uneducated btw... hence, dident check the simple shit

check your wheel bearings for play. mine had similar symptoms

installed aftermarket tension rods finally. stock ones were trash.

noticed one lug on one of my front spacers was kinda loose. tightened it.

noise is gone. so either one of those things or both was causing it.

but my right tie rod end is fucked. tons of play. doh.
