I noticed that many of the d1 cars, or ones in japan that drift sometimes have low offset wheels and was wondering, how is it they run such wide wheels, they're able to turn w/o rubbin, or whatever.

Just tryin to achieve that as well since i'll be runnin some wide wheels up front.

i have a s13 coupe.

Haha yeah thats why they do not rub at full lock I like the way stretched looks but because of safty issues I reframe from the stretched look

spacers

wide fenders

aftermarket lower control arms

fabricating coilover bottoms

Oh and not slamming their shit to the ground.

I think that's it.

all of the above that jack stated, and add that they take a BFH/grinder to all the inside of the well that might scrape with the wheel... that helps a bit also...

Please elaborate on this one....

I only found out about this from talking to JTP about it.

But he said you basically modify the coilover bottom mounting points where the two big bolts go through and you take a compass string and go from the lower bolt to the top bolt and re direct it towards the center of the car and then you basically re drill a hole and place the bolt there. Thus giving yourself more added camber.

I suck at describing stuff.

I wanna try it though.

So basically lengthing the lower control arm mod is needed also.

I hope what I said made some sense. Prolly not.

Pardon a possibly dumb question but is there a thread showing examples of all of these modifications?

Ummm what's wrong with being a noob?

I'm a noob still.

Ask me mechanical question and wait for the answer.

Which would be....

"I'm just a driver, not a mechanic."
