I need some inputs for VLSD swap.

Will S14 VLSD fit S13 without mod?

What is the average price for S14 VLSD?

Thanks in advance.

WTF is with the  ? That makes me not want to answer your questions! I'll interpret that as an unintentional mistake on your part and answer them anyway (what a nice fella I am!).
S14 VLSD will fit on S13 if you swap the rear cover (2 minute job)
Average price varies with who you talk to. Anywhere from $150-$350. A good price is 200-250.
Watch your smilies next time, pal!

I will study the faces in the Forum Rules.

Kevin, do I also need the LSD stub axles from S14?

What components does 'Complete pumpkin' include for the swap (putting S14 VLSD into S13) ? I want to make sure if I have every components I need for the swap.

Thanks,
Johnny

"Complete" it should include the output shafts, carrier and internals. Output shafts will bolt up to what you have already, but if swapping a VLSD from a car with ABS to a non-ABS car (or vice versa) you need to change driveshafts.. ABS driveshaft is an inch or two shorter. That's it.

most S14 VLSD's had abs and the ABS driveshaft is only 1/2 inch shorter not 1 to 2 inchs . get your facts straight man. oh yeah check out my faq in the section if you want to know the ins and outs of VLSD's in our cars.

I do not have ABS on my S13, and I assume the VLSD from a ABS equipped S14. So I think I am in this category:

'If you do not have ABS, you will have two options. First, you can buy the ABS driveshaft. Second you can buy the non-abs diff input.' This is what I found from FAQ section. Need to credit to this person.

Can someone elaborate these a little more?

Will the S14 ABS driveshaft fit my non-ABS S13?

That half inch short bothers me now...

Thanks,
Johnny

you cannot put a S14 driveshaft in a S13. The center support bushing on the S14 driveshaft is on the rear half . On the S13 it is on the front. no driveshaft swap capability sorry.
Get yourself a one piece with replaceable u joints, or if you have some cash a one piece Aluminum. you will save around 15lbs in rototating mass that would cause parasitic drag on your engines HP.

Not most of the VLSD's in s14's had ABS. All of them did. Any ABS s14 has LSD and vice versa. Its the same package. I used to think that all SE's had LSD but ABS/LSD is an option.

I think the best solution for my swap is to put a non-ABS VLSD from a S13 to my non-ABS S13. Anyone had done that before? Are all canadian S13 equipped with VLSD? Hopefully, the ABS and VLSD are not a single package for S13 in Canada.
