1993 Toyota MR2

Up for sale is my 1993 Toyota MR2. This car is my wife’s daily driver and it is in superb condition, it is definitely one of the best cared for MR2’s on the planet! Practically every owner of this car since it was new was an MR2 enthusiast and some of its previous owners still drive MR2s! I have ALL of the maintenance records since the car was new (we’re talking 2 giant 3 ring binders of records), I have the owners manual, and even the original window sticker! This car needs nothing! I would trust it to drive anywhere!
The car is also prepped for SCCA nationals level autocross. It has a few mods like struts, sway bar and exhaust but it’s pretty much stock. The car is setup very well, it’s really fast and extremely easy to drive! It has trophied at a number of national tours, divisionals, and twice at nationals. If you’re looking for a great car to race look no further! If you’re not looking for a race car don’t let this scare you, 99.9% of the time this car is babied driving around town…
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION-
The engine and transmission are in excellent shape. The engine is very strong; the compression numbers are practically perfect. On ATS racing’s dyno it made over 120hp and 135lbft of torque at the wheels (one of the most powerful N/A’s ever dynoed there). The transmission shifts very smooth with zero grinds, the clutch is almost new and the axles are in good condition. Some recent maintenance includes a new timing belt, clutch, distributor, AC compressor, front and rear main seals, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, and valve cover gasket. For the few parts that have not been replaced recently like the starter and alternator I have purchased spare parts that can be included with the car depending on price.
INTERIOR-
The interior is in excellent condition. This car has been my wife’s daily driver so I’ve put a lot of effort into making the interior a nice place to be. The seats have been replaced with lower mileage models, I got one of the last sets of OEM floormats (now discontinued), and some of the window seals have been replaced to stop wind noise and rattles. The audio system has been upgraded with a nice JVC head unit, audiobahn speakers, and a pair of 10 inch subs behind the seats which can be removed in under 30 seconds!
SUSPENSION/BRAKES/TIRES-
The suspension is in very good condition. The car has koni struts, a suspension techniques front sway bar, and high and tight endlinks. The brakes are in great shape, the rotors and pads have been replaced recently and the fluid has been flushed. The car handles really well and with a minute of work can go from stiff to soft. The OEM wheels have street tires in good condition and I also have race tires mounted on extra wheels. The race wheels/tires along with spare brake pads and suspension parts can be included depending on price.
BODY-
The cars body is in very good condition. It has never been wrecked or seen hail. There is zero rust on the car; it has been in Texas almost all of its life. The paint is in good condition but needs regular waxing to stay looking sharp, and has some rock chips on the front end. The front lip is cracked but looks fine from anything over 5 feet. This is a sunroof model and it does not leak water at all in the rain. The car has 35% tint all around, which was replaced under warranty in the past year.
NOTES-
The title to this car is clean, free of liens, and in hand. I am located in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're local and would like to look at the car it is available for local viewing by appointment! If you are not local there are a number of people who have seen or driven the car and could give you a second opinion, or you can have the car inspected at ATS racing. I would be happy to provide close up pictures of any area (including the underbody), dyno results, compression test results, and I can put the car on the lift at my shop for inspection.
