I have a fixed rail - and will be getting one more for the passenger side of the car.
I have an EBAY Sparco rip off seat right now and it's ok for my height- I want to upgrade ot some affordable (200-300 per seat) but I need them to suffice for my 6 foot 2 approx height.
This is for S13 of courese
Any pictures or help with this recommendation would be great

I need something similar to this - with the same thin profile on the seat etc
I like Corbeaus as well as Sparcos I just don't want to pick up a seat that will have my head rubbing into the roof too much.
I did try searching in this section - but If I did miss a thread - please refer me
Thanks

I use a base-model Momo (<$300) on a Wedge rail, with no slider - it's the lowest seat I've ever sat in, even though it's a bottom-mount. I'm 6'3", and can fit my head and helmet in my sunroof-equipped S13 and S14 :)
There is hope for tall folks!

Yeah I also use a Wedge fixed frame - not sliders of course
Thats what I will be using for the passenger side too.
I honestly really like the fixed sparcos and corbeaus

I got a used sparco fighter for 250 with mounting and the previous owner used it on a slider and he was over 6"3' and had no problem.
I'm 6' and just have it bolted straight to the rails, fits fine.
If you can find one used go for it.

get any generic SPG clone (or Bride Zeta clone, or Chargespeed, etc).
I love my chargespeed. I'm 6'2", 140lbs, and think it is the perfect fit in my 180. This is w/ a Bride side mount rail, btw.

And if you're feel creative, you can build them yourself. I'm 6'4" and fit with a helmet in my Sparco Evo2's. There not pretty, but they get the job done at a fraction of the cost.

i had an SPG knockoff with a buddy club race spec rail. on the middle setting my seat was touching the carpet. it could have gone even lower if i stripped the interior.
for about $300 a seat i would pick up a buddy club.

Our driver was 6-3 so we took out seat rails, brackets and cat hump on floor to make it flat and use Sparco rails direcctly to the new floor work great...

Yeah Steve. Im 6'0 and have had both the Sparco's and Corbeau's, and you HAVE to remove the slider mechanism to get any headroom. Bottom mount seats/rails sucks ass for tall drivers.
Im now running a new set of reclinable Corbeau's fix mounted to Corbeau brackets (ditched the slider mechanism thats like 1.25" high) and im liking it.
Really dont know what other options than custom rails, floor pan mod, or sidemount seats/rails.

I used a Sparco Sprint last year. Shitty part is it's bottom mount seat and I didn't like the way it held my legs. Moved to a no name brand and I'll post pics of that later.

Me in the driver's seat, I can't see my headlight covers anymore (the passenger seat is a different brand and sits way higher for reference).
I fabbed the mounts, the bottom of the seat is on the floor of the car.
I'm 6'2" 210lbs and more torso than legs. My friend's (5' 10") will sit in it and you'll only see half of their head with the door shut.
I am 6'2" and 195lbs
I have BRIDE FG rail and Veilside VSD-1 sidemount bucket with the dummy cat hump removed, and I fit VERY comfortably. At one point i was up toward 240 and still had room around the gut ;)

cut out the hump of the cross brace at the front of the seat.
make the seat touch the ground
take out the seat pad

Thanks for the suggestions so far - I am sort of trying to avoid the removal of anything - like the hump and the rails I have are pretty low-
Does anyone have a picture of these Bride rails? and maybe a link to buy?

Anyone have a link or recommendation where to pick up one of these low seated bride rails?
PM me if you want, I would really appreciate it, I simply don't have much time lately.

Like I told you over PM, your assumption that any sliders would cause the seat to be high is wrong.
There is a difference between bottom-mount (sliders on bottom) and side-mount (sliders on sides).
I had both types of Bride rails. The bottom mounts do make the seat sit higher because you are limited by the slider mechanism.
On the sidemount, the slider mechanisms are located on the side and do not affect how low the seat can be mounted. Check the pix.
There is no reason to avoid sliders because there is no height penalty.
My suggestion is to get Bride FG sidemounts and set the seat as low as possible to where the bottom of the seat barely grazes the side-impact beam on the floor.
This is the absolutely lowest way to mount a seat without modifying the floorboard.

Bumping this back up. I need some help with my seat...
I have a Sparco Fighter (bottom mount). Great seat super comfy. Last night I bolt up with a Wedge rail and Sparco slider.
Well I learned that the slider doesn't work with this at all... Also learn that where the bolts are...
It's too tall with. I removed the pad. A bit better but still too high. Going to take off the slider soon. I was thinking about making it a side mount but I dunno if that's a good thing or not.
As far as searching I've seen that I need a side mount for what I want. Anyone help?

I use a bottom-mount Momo on the Wedge bracket, no slider - pull that slider out, bolt it where you want it, and call it a day.

I picked up a 2007 momo start. Since 2007 they have been side instead of bottom mount. They are also FIA rated (which matters huge). And they are also only $350 a piece. I mated them to OMP FIA approved steel side mounts. A good amount of modification is required to mount them to the floor, but you can get your ass only an inch off the floor or less. Don't use Aluminum, and really shop around for FIA approved seats. This is your ass we're talking about here, don't cheap out. I'm 6' even 185 lbs and these momod are a tad small, but fot an FIA seat you can't beat the price.

I really think someone should just make a knockoff of the Bride FG rails.
Why hasn't anyone done this yet?

Bleh semi worked... I pull it out took out the slider, drilled out new mounting points and even add spacers to tilt it back.
With all pads works fine without hemlet. With helmet same as stock... I guess I need to get more of a butt and take out all of the pads...
Is the Bride MO rail lower then the Wedge rail??

I wanted to post in here with some input as I go through my search for the right seat and rail. I have a corbeau fx1 pro fixed back seat that i had with corbeau bottom mount brackets. I sold those and picked up buddy club side mount rails. but I am still sitting too high for my liking.
I am 6'0" 145 lbs, so I really want to find something that will sit lower. I dont think my helmet would clear if I had it on in the car like it is now. I have seen that the bride side mount brackets are really low, but the design looks exactly the same as the buddy clubs, so Im not sure about that. I might give the wedge bracket with no sliders a try that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

I'm 6' 2"... Today I hopped into my buddies car. He has an s13 coupe, no sunroof. The seat is some sort of bottom-mount non-reclinable Sparco with a slider and a Wedge rail. To my surprise, I had about 2 inches of headroom.
I guess not having the sunroof there makes a big difference. lol

Yeah, the sunroof trim is where I keep hitting my head. I realized I didnt have the rail as low as possible, so I am going to swap the rear brackets out tonight to see if it gives me a bit more room.
