I work for verizon. It is as advertised. I've only seen one broken and that is because some clown snapped it in half. Other than that the phone is a trooper...I've even seen one sit at the bottom of a pool for a while and then pulled out to make a call. If you want a boring phone that is nearly indestructable that is your phone.

Ya, I have no need for a PDA or blackberry or music on my phone. As long as it gets good reciption(I travel all over MN/ND), I can hear good/clear, and I can text. Then I am happy.
