OK so im installing some Stance GR+Pros on my S13.I completly understance how to adjust them, no worries. I just have no idea how far to go from the factory setting. Im geussing a lot if im wanting a real low stance. Anyone have a pics so i have a ball park? Im wanting to know before I tighten the bottom two bolts so that the adjustment will be much easier. Im on 15's and 50 seriers tires, I was about even from fender to tire. No tuck and thats were I wanna be.Any help would be great. Thanx!

I don't think theres a "factory" height. When they toss them into the box, their all at different threaded ride heights.
Also, you don't want to slam them right out the box. You'll need to at least break them in for a couple hundred miles or so at a reasonable height, otherwise, you might get premature failure. After the break in and alignment, let the slamming commence.
just count threads on the body, make them all even mark with pernament marker, install, adjust accordingly.

When i say factory i mean what the instructions said. They said that the coilovers are at the maximum height that is safe.Ill just go halfway and see where thats at i geuss. But its way easier to adjust before its bolted to the knuckle thats the reason for this thread, but im tired of waiting.thanx

this procedure didn't work for me.
I think my passenger side would be lower if I did your method.

its not that hard to adjust with the knuckle attached. For preload, just unloosen the lower locking rings, and with a pair of rubber gloves on, just grip the threaded body and start rotating.

go ahead and just bottom out the fronts, that should be about even with 15"s
the rears should be pretty close to rock bottom, not quite there though.
this is with ALL collars

I understand that riding on them unaligned for the break in period will affect your tires, but why not wait till you slam it to get an alignment?

lol... I've eyed out my own alignment too, lol. I know it isn't super accurate, but I've been rollin on my home made alignment specs (god knows whatever they are, lol) like forever, and so far I haven't been loosing any rubber and my steering wheel seems straight (off my like 2 degrees maybe).

alignments are cheap, like what, $50-$60 for a non slammed car?
first day alignment > replacing blown/leaky dampers

ok so i need to be really close to bottomed out.. Thats what i wanted to know. I didnt want to jack the car up and down 20 times, thats all. I will make both sides even with a tape measurer, then even it out accordingly. Ill get it aligned after a few miles.

I have the GR+:
Hope this helps
Im not bottomed out on the lock nuts, I have a 1-2 inch of thread left on strut.
Need to lower it a little more.
205/60 series tires. with a lower profile I can get the car lower as well.

Just bust out a tape measure and go at it...
Adjust the collar that lets the spring can jiggle around a little bit, but not enough to where it can move up/down.
To adjust your ride height, adjust the bottom perch.

yeah it's all trial and error. i always adjust in half inch increments until i'm happy. yeah, it's gonna be a pain to keep jacking and putting the wheel back on, but once it's where you like it, you'll be happy.
