View Full Version : Wheel Locking to the Left While Braking

So I've had this problem for quite a while and I'm fed up with it.

When I hit the brakes to come to complete stop or hit them hard to scrub off speed to make a turn or hit a bump in the rod while taking a turn the wheel turns to the left about 15 degrees or so and get stuck there until I start moving fast or wiggle the wheel.

I thought it was the tension rod but I replaced both of them with a brand new Circuit Sport Adjustable units and the problem is still there.

I now think it may be the Driver's side outer tie rod sticking or something but I'm not entirely sure.

Anyone have any insight into what the problem may be?

replace your front brakes or rebuild them if they can be

Could be the steering rack, inner or outer tie rod ends, ball joints, or upper strut mounts.

I think it's a brake problem if it was ur rack it would do it when ur off the brakes also , if ur left brake is clamping harder than ur rite brakes for sum reason (old, seals worn out, pinched line sumwhere, stupid shit like that)it would cause ur car to pull to the left. Either that or sumthns bent down there alignment maybe I duno, my opinion maybe it helps maybe it dosent

Pulls Left when Braking... ok... does it do this when dropping off throtle... maybe slight noticable.

Check Inner Lower Control Arm Bushing.

Simplely put... its pulling Left... check the Left.... All of it!!

Brakes are actually re manufactured units. All of about 4 months old.

Could be the steering rack, inner or outer tie rod ends, ball joints, or upper strut mounts.

I'll have to check all that stuff out I guess.

I really don't thing it's a brake problem but I'll check it out.

Yeah I guess I'll have to check everything then.

It's strange though, when I hit the right bump in the road it also does it. Also the car doesn't really pull to the left it more or less drives straight but the wheel is cut to the left.
