All you do is route your PCV(Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve to the can. Iff the cath can has mose than one port, you can put a small filter on it (A vent, so your catch can does not become pressurized), block it off. The point is to catch oil that get splashed up, and to ventilate your crankcase. pretty simple.

also the pcv valve under intake, you wanna put a catch in there too.
pain in the ass tho.
well worth it,
you also should run line from can back to where it says block,

In the second picture that setup wont do anything but stop some vapor going to the intake. Thee spot to really put a catch can is at the PCV valve under the intake manifold and have a vacuum source attached to it so that it actually pulls some of the oil/sludge through which then gets caught it screens and internal filters so that the oil doesnt go into the intake.

*That's the PCV intake not the PCV valve.
*A vent will create a vacuum leak.
You want to install it between the PCV in the silver box(catch can) on the block next to the Alternator and the T-bar on the manifold.

^^ What he's showing is good example. Just put a catch can in between the red lines in the two pictures but use extra hose and plumbing so the catch can is easier access.
