i was going to get one from the godspeed vendor in el monte, but they quoted me 160 on the phone picked up, then my lady went to get it and they said 225. this was for a full tbe, which is still a good deal. i have an hks axle back, but original ka downpipe on my s13 with an sr. i need a new downpipe midpipe obviously, cheap. i will be selling the hks but i dont want a full tbe because they all seem to come with 4 inch or bigger tips, the biggest i want to go is 3 inches because i will be driving this car to work on occassion and don't want to get pulled over with the sr.
on a side note, i haven't been here forever because the car was taking so long to finish. i took off the body kit, finally installed my vlsd (got it from a junk yard, it was missing a bushing, its from a j30, aand couldnt find a freaking bushing anywhere. nissan in west co, which i norrmally love, and wanted to charge me 240 for the bushing. i think it was the one guy there who didn't know what he was doing).
so the body is back to stock, ride height is 1.5 inches lower than stock, and the car is in paint right now, getting painted a very mundane looking light grey. it's a track car, but i want to drive it on the street. I am in the process of lemon lawing my ms3 and will have an s2k within three weeks, but still want to drive my s13 on the street, so i am going out of my way to make it look boring, but very, very, very clean. its going to look totally stock, pop up lights, 180sx taillights, 18 inch wheels, ground control coilovers lowerd by 1.5 inches and light grey paint. couldn't look more innocent. if you cant tell by my rambling i am super excited, should be making about 230rwhp and handle amazingly. its been a great fun project with a ton of headaches, but am beyond excited about getting it back on the road.
if you are curious, mods are j30 vlsd, redtop sr, greddy profec b boost controller at 13 psi or so, huge greddy front mount, hks ssq bov, ram air intake, godspeed sway bar up front with camber arms, tension rods and all other suspension bits upgraded, slotted and drilled stock rear rotors, ground control coilovers, eiback springs, tein camber plates, tein rear strut bar, speedmax 18 inch wheels (still running four lug, don't feel like changing everything i love my wheels even if they are cheap, i am not an elitist in a cheap car, obviously) sleepy eye kit. 180sx tailights ordered, t3/t4 turbo and manifold sitting in the garage, which should put me at 300whp, walborro 255lph fuel pump. ordered steel bradeed brake lines, shitty duralast brake pads soon to be upgraded, xenon lights up front. body kit is going to be for sale, look for my other posts.
anyways, i live in los angeles county and want to find a place i can pick up a downpipe and midpipe combo for a reasonable price. i can get a combo on ebay for less than 200 and thats the most i want to spend really. i am just going to get a muffler from the local muffler shop and have that put on witha smallish tip.
