Ok let me preface this by saying that i LOVE my s13 but lately ive been getting this feeling that i just want out and i know this is just natural sometimes.
So i ask u guys if you were to leave the s-chassis behind what could possibly be good enough out there that could provide just the right kind of driving excitement and possibly add creature comforts? Name some cars that you think could match the excitement of driving a 240sx with mild mods...or any mods i guess
Im a nursing student about to graduate in a year and although my baby isnt a hooptie, it's not exactly a BMW and i want something a little more grown up

85 euro spec 190e 16v 5speed!!!!! 180hp stickshift
Was a blast to drive too, sort of ae86 ish where you push it into high revs to get going, great undercover touge car lol YouTube - Benz 190e 2.3 16v Touge canyon run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBSFSe1tVzk&feature=channel_page)
I replaced a few parts on it inexpensively since typical trim pieces are the same wiht standard 190es from the junk yard...
Ive had alot of people *generally jdm fanboys* wonder why i let go of the s13... it just got worrysome, people either call you a drift fanboy on forums or you worry about theft/ cop harassment on the street. You face alot of criticism from people when you mod a japanese car imo.. Shit wasnt fun anymore, people always expect you to do something...
Eventually tho i started missing the import game and felt i still wanted to play around so i traded the benz for my rx7.
I tell you what tho, i miss that 190e and sometimes regret trading it, It was clean, anyone that knows benzes will know its pretty rare, and yet no one would steal it, could go to the mall , movies etc and not have to worry about someone stealing it. I drove it alot to hollywood just to go clubbing.
Being able to worry free drive everywhere with no problems > then having some modded car.

+1 people dont under stand that you don't need to drift or be in a certain "scene" to drive a 240.
I had a 350z at one point i liked it, but i think i need a back seat or :gasp: 4 doors. IM SO OLD!

I think a nice car to consider would be GS300 , 4 door so its low profile on radar, and still tons of potential and a growing community, VIP or even tuning. Same goes for SC300/400.
Or cant go wrong with E36 imo.
All RWD cars so you wont feel like you went to FWD .
I kinda wish i kept the 190e, i wanna go back to school, and i dont wanna take the fc to school (id worry a shit ton about it or id have car stuff on my mind all the time that i cant concentrate)

I have a friend who's a male nurse... They make some good money and can get a job anywhere. Kind of like how some jobs give preference to wanting women to "even" things out blah blah blah... Health care facilities hiring nurses love to hire qualified male nurses if they have any even apply.

Had a cressida, left the door unlocked on that thing and never got stolen. Lowered it and put some rims on it and it was still a comfy ride. Bad thing though, its old. But had stuff like mirror heaters, a good AC, and some other comfy stuff.

If you want something exiting and comfortable, just get something new and avoid the headache of an old car. Be patient. Wait till you
graduate, get a job, and then get something nice. I'd imagine a nurse makes decent salary. might even be able to save up for something very nice if you can save up.
370z, g37, 335, 135, G8, s2k etc ought be all solid rwd choices. check out the lease specials too. you could prob even still keep the 240 as the beater.

You may look into the newer legacy’s (05+). Awd means not as much fun or more fun depending on how you look at it. The gt’s have a 250 hp wrx engine with either a 5 spd or 6 spd manuals. The handling and straight-line aren’t quite sti level, but with a few parts… could have some potential for either vip or a sneaky weekend track car. Just a thought.

If/when the 240 goes bye bye, I want to buy an STi. I have a WRX right now, I would sell that also. To offset the costs of the car, get the stage 2 parts, and get it winter prepped.
Having two cars is costing lots of $$$. Being I mostly do SCCA auto-x, a STi would work good for that, they are awsome in the snow, and will be reliable enough for a DD.

i replaced my S13 with a MR2. first a MK1, now a MK3. i love what the MR layout has to offer as far as vehicle dynamics, but the trunk space sucks. but, being a 21yo guy with no kids and a gf, it works. i have gotten hooked on getting small, lightweight cars. very impracticle, i know. but something like a old 2.5RS would be great for a family/winter.

Didnt mean to offend you if you owned a miata. I do think that the IS300 is a decent choice if im not able to get an M3. I would love to supercharge either of them.
And to end this male nurse discussion: There is nothing better than working with hot ass women who wear thin scrubs and you can see her sexy panties under it. And if you work in the ER adrenaline make girls so horny its not even funny. And yes the pay is decent you can make 100k with an associates degree, its a recession proof job, and you get to help people. Whats not to like? Ok back on topic

350Z for sure! You can find some decent 03-04's for under 16k. Now throw some gangster wheel fitment and one of those with stock body slam and call it a day :naughty:
or like everyone else said, if you got chips; 370Z would be dope.
