I dunno how many of you guys watch Top Gear, but this season the Stig had morse code running as he was doing his hot laps. Here is what was said...
Morse code in episode 1:
The first states that “Strictly Come Dancing is crap”, an accurate description of a rival show that is broadcast on BBC1 at the same time as Top Gear. The second message simply says “I love cheese”.
Morse code in episode 2:
This time the Stig was driving the funky little Abarth 500. The first encoded message we heard translates to “I VOTED ROSS PEROT”, a reference to an American politician who fell out of the recent presidential race at an early stage.
The second is much simpler and more amusing - “ME SMELL CATS”. It doesn’t suggest what the Stig would like to do with the cats were he to get his hands on them.
Morse code in episode 5:
His first burst of dot-dashing said ‘TOO MANY GEARS’, clearly a dig at the Lexus IS-F’s ridiculous 8-speed gearbox.
The second transmission works out as ‘I LIKE MR SULU’, a message of support to George Takei who’s currently spending time in an Australian jungle with a bunch of E-list celebrities. The Star Trek actor, who played Mr Sulu in the original series, is currently still in the running on TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’.
Morse code in epsiode 7:
Firstly, “I LIKE GARY NEWMAN”. Could it be that the Stig can’t spell? Is he talking of Gary Numan, the singer and musician who wrote popular 1979 track Cars?
That was followed by “THAT PORK TASTED FUNNY”. Surely the Stig wouldn’t have sampled James’ pork sword (snigger!). I wonder if he had a go with Richard’s wizard’s sleeve as well?
Silly brits
