I have found a thread about ackerman,
Well I found this pic, its kinda ass backwards from all I just learned, BUT! i dig the outer wheel turn in! the back side ... if was modded both ways, ie knuckles and what ever the fuck does this...
then we'd be golden,

ackerman is almost hard coded into the suspension and is rather hard to change. Basically it's that say if your turning hard like making a u-turn on a street without sliding. The inside wheel is making a turn with a 25' diameter. That means the outside wheel is turning at a 25' + width of the car diameter. Thus that requires a different wheel angle. The picture is actually the opposite of what you want in ackerman.

I understand what you saying and agree.
I have modded knuckles.
I have reverse of this set up. My front leadin tyre is cranked to full lock.
I am wonder HOW THE FUCK he did the back trailing tyre like that?
any info?
I pm'd him on a europe forum...
I'll see what I can come up with...
I guess my quest is...
Is it possible for me to mod a car so both wheels have MEAN angle.
like a 0 ackerman... BUT MAD angle... I know its not right/legit/ etc... but nothing in drifting is.
I figure if I can get both wheels like that, I'd be toying the entire time and then driving it would be easier and look NASTIER! than 2 girls 1 cup. :werd:

I guess by moving the mount point towards outside of lca mouint you'll gain this... not something I'd do.

^ yea, I grabbed the tyre spelling from the chaps in England mate. I also talked to dude with car... and he getting me a pic.
I guess all in all it just alignment from the lca mount and toe rod. in which they should be in line to reduce and mounted father out for what we have soon.
I will toss a set of knuckles in to a fab shop and see what we get out of it!
I am just looking to make my drive more fun for me and a lil better to watch... and angle helps that.I love this game
Live free er die baby...
Peace .

So I been thinkin, If I take out 3/4 of a inch, lower it 1 1/2 and move out about 3/8 I think Id be a NICE combo of shit to have.
oh man... my heads been through hell trying to think about how my tyres are reacting to my knuckle mod via thought process... :duh:
I think that combo above is it tho. its be nice. I am gonna try it.
anyone else have a set up you want made lmk I will have it done.
Peace

Yea I also make a unknown Brand :sadwavey:
Dang Mooseknuckles. Its a NH thang.. lol I got a few semi pro / pro guys gonna test mine out soon.
I guess I am a s13 nerd and NEED to master all that is part of cars. and suspension got me at the moment.
I been nerding out and picking brains...
Soon we'll be drifiing backwards.
ita all about R&D now. who can figure out best set up...
and seeing how so many cars are set up differently its tough to redo a part from one car to another to have it work well with car and driver..
I am excited tho. Knuckles fucking rock, esp MOOSEKNUCKLES! lol.:hitit:

Im gunna have to getta chopping on my spindles...might do something like the poweredbymax add on to the knuckle rather than cutting into it.
i can deff see this being a very important mod...
anyone ever see alex pfeiffer at that drift even in that homemade drift car with the turbo 4age? he could toss that car around because it had rediculous steering angle. it looked like it was about 65-70 degrees of turning angle.
russ, do you have them installed in the drift video of you at that short round track on you tube?

well, I will have weld in pieces real soon...like max and some different ones.
I have not run on them as of yet. I have 2 pros gonna try em out. and give feedback.
I use teins in my red car and s14 lca. no major mods.
Blue car is modded to death.

sweet im gunna have to get those off of you bro.
For Sure.
I have 2 Versions now.
DANG MOOSEKNUCKLES! V1 Its a mild knuckle for a highly modified car aldready. ie subframe, and tie rods to extreme, I have teins I had machined to allow more angle. ie, when you install teins the angle you add, when I machine them it adds about same amount 8mm. thats pretty sick / slick alone.
Then Subframe is modded. to keep from binding. this also helps ALOT! with bind and angle. and I also have a hicas fron rack no added bonus other than steering quickness. and this is major factor is keeping the V1 to a less extreme knuckle. from moving rack forward not huge need to adjust knuckles.
Also I run s14 lca on my car and has a bit more reach from rack, with out knuckles I am already at full lock. with them it adds a bit more quickness to steering.
v1 are for drifters with MAJOR MODS. already trying to reach angle goals.
V2 are drop ins.
Most set ups do not go as far as mine was. (in V1) I tried to gain angle any which way, my car has no hp and I was at higher speed tracks trying to keep up, I am not best driver so giving me more angle helped.
The V2 will drop into any s13 / s14 with only need for a inner tie rod to reach, peaks inners are modded for this. or i can mod your teins or what ever else it is for $50. this adds 8mm more of length to your inners. which adds angle. If your car is lowered your gonna want to get a outer that lowers it. megan racing has the less expensive one on market. $90? better than $200 plus. for some. with this combo and cutting out stop your at full lock. no more angle able to be gained UNLESS you notch lower control arm. (in the works :naughty:)
Like I said before I will have a angle thread for sale soon enough.
With V1 V2 V3 V4 and all items needed to help items I will sell in a package ie tie rods knuckles and lca. premodded.
as of now i have knuckles for $250 out right. no lca. no core.
$200 for knuckle with core no lca. I will have lca soon. just in middle of moving and shit so times are tight... and I am tired. :sadwavey: mad work lately...
all in all, this is the holy grail of drifting... I will master the art of modifying knuckles. and be one with my drift chigong.
Knuckles will be Brown, hence name Mooseknuckles , Pittsburg NH is moose country , you can not drive down the road without a friggin moose in your way!
DANG MOOSEKNUCKLES! :rawk:
