This is a street setup '98 S14 dropped with Tein S Tech springs mated to KYB AGX shocks. It's not slammed, because I prefer my underbody to be as pristine as the rest of the body. Tell me what you guys think of the car.
I've built a '95 Civic, a '95 Integra and I pride myself in having my cars have the "CLEAN" look. Constructive criticism are welcomed. If you hate it, I don't care, go ahead and tell me anyways.:p

Clean looking car
What body kit is that on the black car in your signiture?

looks nice...i think the wheels look really good
my guess is the black S14 MC is wearing a vertex body kit... and the red one (yours) -- the drop should have been stock, but it's still too high. :)
The drop on the red one is perfect.... It looks like mines except I have the Suspension Technique springs. The only reason why I got the those springs is because they can be perfectly matched up to the ST sway bars. I too have built Civics... one of them being my own, and it was lowered 2.25" with H&R race springs with a camber kit on stock 2000 Si wheels. :D . Remember guys lower doesn't mean it's going to handle better.

which S-tech's did you end up getting? the soft, medium, or hard (linear)...??

the front is a bit higher than the back it appears... which isn't necessarily a bad thing for a rwd car.

The body kit on the black car is a Vertex.
I ended up getting the Medium S Techs. I think that's the only one we could get for the S14. It's funny, when I turn the knob to soften the suspension setting, the car gets lower.
On my Civic, I had the thing slammed with Tokico Illuminas and Ground controls to 3" of course with a camber kit on all four corners. I had to modify the fenderwell because the wheel was tucked in and it looked nice! Too bad I crashed it by mistakenly accelerating in an apex. Moral of the story: DO NOT ACCELERATE TILL YOU GET OUT OF THE APEX! Well, unless you have a rear wheel drive and like to drift.

The red S14 looks great and very clean, just like you said. Also, keeping the underbody safe from damage from speed bumps/discarded pop cans is a smart thing to do.
the front DOES look a lil higher than the back. but still looks nice :) could still be dropped a little lower though.

I have to agree that the front does look to be a little high. I am a fan of the "raked" look.

how long you had the setup on? it looks good and is what I'll be going with soon. im sure the springs will settle down a little more in a couple weeks. let us know if they do. and take a comparison shot

I've had it for about two months now. I got it for Chirstmas and installed it immediately after. As far as the springs settling, it may take a few more months. I remember my Civic settled fully after about 3 months, but then I could be wrong and it's staying where it's at!
I am happy with the height though, because I've scraped my front bumper getting on the main street from a Safeway. I wanted to get the stock lip that fits on it, but I imagined that if I had that on my car at the time, it was bye bye lip!:(
If only our roads here in Ca is as smooth as a racetracks, it would be slammed to the ground, but that is not so. I like to keep a safe distance!;)

i've got the s-tech's also.... i love the springs they feel great, and drop enough but not to much... i would say just right IMO.
here are pics of my car (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23130) this might help you decide on a lip or not.... the first and second pics are mis-leading... they make the car look way to low... but the third one shows you a better pic of the hieght. i got good clearance... about four or five inches and i dont scrape to much =\, but than again i'm riding on a 215/45 /17 tire set up...
as for your car it looks nice and clean. take care of it
viva la red 240's :p

240SXstyle, your car looks SWEET! I wish I could get away having a lip like that, but it'd be all scraped up in a day!

Bah, I dunno what you fools are talking about, the ride hieght of the red car is the very definition of perfect :-)
Looks like the hieght of my s13 on Tokico springs, what is it, one inch, mebbe a bit more?
I really don't like the look of slammed or overly lowered cars at all, just unnatural and poor functioning in a street car. But hey, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, mine's just right ;-)

too me it really all depends on the car. most slammed hondas look kinda silly... toyotas too... and the S13 coupes. it also depends on kit. no kit and slammed car looks really weird to me. but like the black one in Chickenmagnets sig is hot. I love NSXs sitting low and MR2s, ehh its all personal preference

Actually YES! The softer I dial the setting, the lower the car sits. It's a slight difference, but I see it. I'll probably post pics later on to show you guys what I'm talking about.
