red top sr20 oil pan q's

ok just recent my oil pressure on start ups went to shit. mind u its been snown like a mother and my car is and inch or two off the road.
starts to knock then stops. lifters make noise.

so i changed the oil (10w40) to 5w40 still same issue.. but once it really warmd up it was fine? no noise no nothing. oil pan is dentd abit looks the same as before. could my pan be the problem? also its been -12 out for some time also.

Yah your oil is probably really really really shitty in the morning.... Go with 0 if possible, but basically your oil is NOT circulating your system.... Try this, unplug the cam angle sensor and then crank it 4-5 times to get the oil circulated. THen try starting. See if that helps you.

i put 5w40 in last night.
i think my pan took a hit and now she's straven or my motor is fuckd
this is its thrid winter and now it starts fukn with me..

or how would i mod the mouth of the pick up tube.
just open it up abit more?

Yah pretty much.... But man take everything off and just get a new oil pick up and pan.... A small dent would even restrict flow.... So you better take care of it. You can get them at Phase2 or theNismoShop aka west convina.

nvm ppl i fixed it... drop on the oil pan in the middle of a snow strom in my drive.
