Last night I just installed the Nismo Power Brace Bar into my 1992 s13. This thing is worth every penny i spent on it. Although the difference in ride is not night and day, it is definitely noticeable. I feel the car is much more stable when going around turns and at freeway speeds. Before my steering wheel had a little wobble at high speeds, but with this bar it is gone. I haven't had it on for long, but I took my usual freeway offramp at a higher speed with much more confidence. It felt a lot more stable in a highspeed turn. Also, the steering feels more responsive. Your car moves with the slightest movement of the steering wheel. I don't know about you guys, but I always felt there was too much of a dead zone early on when turning the wheel. The install was very straight forward and easy. Just taking off some screws was a BITCH. Just in case you guys don't know the bar i'm talking about...

It's the big shiny new silver piece the TC Rods connect too.
Also, I think this bar would work better than the Cusco Tension Rod Bar. Mainly because the piece bolts onto the chassis as well, making the whole structure that much more stable. I cannot talk from experience however because I have not driven with the Cusco Tension Rod Bar...It just looks that way to me.

Here's another look at it through the engine bay.
I would definetely recommend this bar. For $140, and ease of installation, it was worth it.
BTW: Sorry for the big pictures

Just a little FYI you tension rod bushing on the near side of the first pic is shot and needs to be replaced. Your leaking fluid everywhere. That will make a difference in handling as well;)
Edit: it will run you $40 from your local Nissan parts dealer or Courtesey

Nice. Btw your engine bay looks exactly like mine lol. That's a permacool 14" fan right? Except i got a shroud around mine.... and my thermo sensor is on top and the strap is toxic/rice green :p

Why do you have shoe laces in the engine bay ?

nah that ain't wd-40. I just noticed that my TC rods are just about done when I got under there. I'm thinking I will pick up those stock TC Rods with Whiteline bushings pressed in from PDM-Racing.
Kreator: Haha Yup that's the 14" Permacool. Did you fabricate your own fan shroud or did you cut up the stock one? I would like to see a picture of that.
Kid Zelda: It's the laces from my camera..didn't even notice that until you pionted it out.
Bbandit: Definitely more firm with the brace bar installed. I felt it right when I left my garage. HOwever, I felt it even more when I was getting off that offramp! :D If you install all those things at the same time your ride will feel much stiffer. However, you won't know what each of them did.

I'll be tracking the car with the Cusco Tension bar on next weekend.. a full report of everything will follow soon...
The Nismo power brace seems like an Awesome peice.. when I was looking at them, I couldn't find it for under $200. thats why I went with the cusco bar.
btw - you can't use both:(

Autobacs in Mitaka Japan. I just brought it back on the plane with me :D I've seen it around for just above 200 shipped. This is what it looks like off the car.

I noticed you had a mountain bike back there with disc brakes. What kind of bike is it? Those are my two hobbies, mountain biking and car. Bikes are so much cheaper and I tend to put more money on my bikes than on my car!:D
Do you guys know if they make this piece for S14s?

Actually that's my dad's mountain bike. It's a Jamis Dakar Sport.
