Anyone reupholster S14 door panels?

Anyone tried? They are quite different than the S13 panels.
I pulled the fabric off, there's foam behind. Unlike many other cars (supra) you can't take a couple screws out and remove the upholstered panel which would make it a cinch to reupholster and reattach
i tried cutting a piece of cloth and using spray adhesive but it looks like crap because its hard to push it in the seam between the foam and door panel

It works better to leave the OE fabric on, you've created a gap now between the insert and panel. Use piping to trim the panel out or a very thick bead of fabric right at the edge, that way when it tucks it bulges enough to fill the gap.
