What do u think of APEX WORLD SPORT

ok i've been looking a coilover setups for a whiel now and i totally disreguarded the apex-i world sport,.. maybe i'm just being foolish here, but it's a very stiff spring rate(not a great daily driver ride), and it comes with upper pillow balls, but no dampening adjustability. i realize that's a main characteristic of suspension setups. if i were to get with a spring strut comboi';d get agx's just b/c of that, but iwas told the world sports dampening force is really stiff to begin with.
(Just for reference if you wann know what type of motorsports i'm into, it's road race, maybe a little auto-x here in and there)

re read your post ;) the world sports HAVE to use the factory upper mounts and are only about 30% stiffer than stock (the same as most sport springs i.e. intrax or eibach) if your seriously looking for coilovers to go racing with and are willing to put up with a harsher ride look elsewhere Tein HE at the LEAST. otherwise pick up the AGX and some springs. i've had my WS for a year and a half and they are blown and not worth it to me anymore. I need more :)

steele.. hey i totally agree with everything you said now, except they do say that they come with upper pillowball mounts...

also i found the WS for 1195..thats why i wanted then
but for 1395 i found JIC FLTa-2's, i'm not paying shipping btw my cousin is moving to japan for the military in a couple monthes and he will ship it.

btw i dont wann go with tein he's either.. i had originally wanted them but everyone said they are too daity and thin compared to everything else

yes, HE SUCKS
thats why i never recommend them. i say flex, well match shock/spring

FLTa2s are very nice setup. :) very nice.

but me..im going another route (company). :D

Yeah my apexi WS were cool when I got em cause tein weren't as easly available as they are now.

But you can find better coilovers for the same price now a days.

Plus the lack of uppermounts and the soft springrates are sucky.

I wanna get some JIC-FLTA2's.:eek:

hmmm weird when I bought mine they said factory uppermounts only.. I dunno. oh well. yeah I paid 900 for mine anyway so 1100 is high for the WS ;) I wish I would have waited oh well hindsight and all that. I try to do it right the first time.

Dousan what are you going with now man? I keep drooling over those aragosta on SPL mmmm yummy. oh well I'll put some shocks springs on till I can afford some zeals or something :)

right now..im torn

kei office XR (used by koguchi, kazama -the driver and popular setup) 9/7 KG rates, good stiff valving 16? way damper, ill have to check the website again-cant remember off top of my head

kazama (the brand) 10/8 good stiff hard valving 30 way damper too

HKS Hypermax D 10/8 excellent valving 30 damper adj


right now one of those 3. its a tough choice!!


and to anyone reading this: No the TEIN HE will not be for sale, please dont PM me about it..

they will be my backups for a while. why? imagine blowing a coilover shock and having to send it back to japan.....need something to replace incase of emergency.

and i think it would be funny to say "you got Tein HE? those things are my backups" hahaha

probably buying1 of the 3 above in the next 2-3 months. i have a few other tricks up my sleeve and big HUGE important changes on my car (not engine yet)

yeah those Kazama look really nice! I gotta see how much rebuilding two WS is gonna run cuz I'd like to keep them as back up but the shock spring will probably be the backup and get rid of the WS after the rebuild. the other ones I'd want are the Cusco's.
