ok so i recently ordered a set of 17x10 +12 and 17x9 +15 FN01RC's for my s14. when i got the wheels i noticed that the 10" has the nice concave face but the 9" has a flat face with a "sunk-in" hub.

so my question is do the make a concave faced 17x9 +15? or do i have to stay with the ugly ones? i could have sworn they made a concave faced one but 5zigens rep told me they dont today but i just cant believe him just yet...i want your guys info before i give up.

IIRC the concave face was only available in the 10" wheel.

Just wondering..someone correct me if I'm wrong but would you need a slightly lower offset for the 17x9 to be concave. Cause 17x10 have a lower offset and obviouslt wider than the 17x9, so is that why they're so concave?

I've noticed this too in alot of people who have the FN01RC's. I'm like you I guess, I would want concave all the way around

All 17x10 FN's are concave.

All other FN's are non-concave.

A person that works for 5zigen told you they never made concave 17x9's and you didn't believe him...

the 18x9.5 are also concave.

i think thats fliprayzin's old car. concave because it's 10" all around

You should do like that S14 in the picture and do 10's/+12 front and rear. Thats what I have and I love it.

I was thinking thats another option too...but is my theory right if he wanted to stick with 17x9...if they had em in a lower offset?

ONLY 17x10+X FN's are concave. None of the others.

18x9.5 FN's are only slightly concave:

I have a set of 17x10+25 FN's and they are concave.

All 17x10 FN's (+12, +25, +35) have the same concavity because they increase the offset from +12 by grinding the hub face down farther.

/thread.

i didnt beleive him because it took forever to explain the story to him...he was having a hard time understanding the question.

anyway, i got the 9's because i wasnt sure the 10's would fit up front. so i'm guessing the 10 will just bolt right up w/ the right size tire?

Yup 10j +12 will bolt right up, with massive fender pull, wiring harness relocation, lots of banging of the fender well, camber and hold your breath that it clears your suspension. Other than that, yah it should bolt right up. :keke:

And yes, you need the +12. Anything less than that and you will need spacers to clear the suspension struts.
