View Full Version : HELP! People who've put guages on thier car

Hey, Well tonite I was bored so I decided to finally try to put on my whiteface guages I have had for awhile now. So I have ran into a problem. How do you take off that knob that changes the time and resets it???
Please someone answer this tonite I would be so greatful. I really need to finish this tonite so I can drive to school tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

i think on mine there was a part were it got bigger and wouldnt fit through the hole if i remember right and i just snipped it off right before it got big or it broke off..one or the other... id go out and look but its like 5 degrees outside....BRRRR

baah.... a search could've ended up at this thread:

You'll notice the part where I'm installing the gauge faces by rotating the needle around to allow the gauge face to be rotated around the ODO reset so you can thread the needle through the gauge face in the 5th pic. No removal of needles or long ODO reset/ clock adjust knobs necessary.

Hey, thanks for the replies. I got them on last night just took me awhile. Ace I wish it was that easy but there was no precut holes on them or anything so I had to put them first then cut stuff out for everything else. But it came out good at least I think. Forgot to cut holes for the x1000/rpm thing and unleaded fuel only but oh well. Heres a final pic of it before I put them back in my car.
