I have a '95 se and there are 2 clanks coming from the front evertime I brake, once during initial braking and again before coming to complete stop. I have Z32 30mm brakes up front. This noise has been there since about the time I had the pads replaced about 3 yrs ago. I've been told everything is tight in the front suspension and no one can figure it out. I replaced the FLCA's and front TC rods last year with SPL V2's but the noise never went away. I have taken it to a new mechanic since who says the only thing he could think of it being is the pads slipping a little within the calipers because they are moving on the pins or the pins are moving a little within the caliper but the calipers were tight. So basically he said I could try replacing the hardware kit when I get new pads or go back to stock brakes. Anyone have this issue. All other bushings in suspension were checked and looked ok.

thanks,
C

Check to see if the bolt/nut holding on your lower control arm is loose.

Like I said everything is tight in the front suspension. It's been checked multiple times.

Coilovers?

Again I said suspension is stock with exception of the SPL TC V2 TC rods and the front brakes are 30mm Z32 with ABS stock 240 brake package.
