Why did you buy this over an in tank then?

hmm.
Thats alot of pump. They are not made for street use, and are not designed for everyday use. Even with the aeromotive voltage controller they will not last more than about 2 years of regular driving.

lol but I saw it in super street!

i got it because i couldent put a in tank pump in an rx8 wich is what the sr is in. they dont make a in tank pump for that car so my options were limited. I want to make big power later and not worry about fuel delivery so i got the best there is.. ive talked to alot of mustang guys and vette guys that use the pump on a daily basis and they said if never gave them any problems.

How much horse power are you trying to get? If its anything under 500 sell it and buy yourself an intank pump tomei from a gtr r33 they are good up to 600hp no major mods. anything over that you might want to look into modifying your fuel lines and getting a fuel rail that will take fittings and etc.

irrelevant.

a little reading... (just a little)

ooooooooooooh! well why cant you then?

hot damn, how did I miss that.

more useless armchair mechanic information.
thank you for your post.

:gives:HEY dumbshit, You can modify the R33pump into that car it runs of 12v do your homework.
or even better sell your car! and stop posting dumbshit

:cj:Yea just drop a R33 pump in it make your money back on that AEROMOTIVE...

Sorry I don't need to do any homework on an rx-8 this is zilvia thus I would not have the proper answer about chassis fuel delivery modifications on that car.
I have no idea how the fuel tank is designed, but you're more than free to post up some links to where you did your homework...
dumbshit. (since we're being mean and calling each other names, I was just being condescending)

ok enough with the chatter. all i want is to see some setups in 240's with this pump. i already have it and considering i wanna go a bit over 400hp when i get my spare engine built im keeping it. im leaning torward doing a fuel cell so nevermind the line routing. I just want some remedies for the voltage regulator for daily driving, and if the pump only last 2 years it will be a fun 2 years.

i had it in my FC
more people use this pump on the rx7 than the SR i say
u need to weld a sump into your tank to make it in-line, at least thats how i did mine

LoL, it is...
The fun begins where you have 2 humps in the tank with a high dividing wall. You have 2 pumps, one to supply fuel to the engine and 1 to balance out the fuel between tanks. The system is also return-less.
Looks like most people crack the case open and replace the primary with a Warboro from a Miata/Mazda3. It looks like a lot of work to balance out the tank and convert to a return system. Good Luck!

well i already divised my return system, i just plumbed the return to the original feed line because my stock pump and carrier are out. i was thinking of just drilling a hole in the cap threading in a AN fitting and running the tube into the factory sump. as for the divided tank it has a line going form the primary pump location to the other side of the tank and i was just going to hook into that. i wish i could put a sump in my tank but it is plastic.

Use bulkhead an fittings :)

Now I think about it again, it might be easier for you to use a surge tank,
stock tank / walbro / supra / skyline pump -- > surge > a1000 > fuel rail > return to surge > return to tank
that will make sure u have enuf gas on conrnering too, not having to worry about IF the stock fuel pick up was not designed well enough to make u encounter fuel starvation on high G corners

hmmm interesting.... so let me get this straight get a intank pump and plumb a line to a surge tank(how big?) and have the a1000 sending fuel from it to the rail and back the surge? And just a thought...my tank is plastic, could i use a bulkhead on the bottom of the stock tank? or would i just be better off with a fuel cell

Looking at that tank. It looks like a pain in the ass to get both sides to drain evenly.
A fuel cell looks like the easiest option without re-engineering the factory balancing system. You seem to be good at fabricating so mounting a cell should be easy for you.

im thinking about that more and more, i just read that this pump is submerseble is that so? if thats the case that could make this a bit simpler, but a cell is definatly in the future. now i need help with the voltage regulator please!

The Aeromotive 16302 is the cheapest option really.

I have one on my vert, you have to weld a bung on the bottom of the tank as these are not self priming pumps, they have to be mounted below the tank as well. I have my mounted to the back of my rear diff. Since you have a plastic tank, you'll have to use a compression fitting of sort that will seal on the hole you have drilled. Look at some drag cars, some of them have plastic tanks with the same sort of fittings. I'll try to find pics. But I have mine run on a Bosch relay with a voltage regulator built in (I'll also get you the part number for this). The relay ran me under a $100. It works great, the pump itself is loud as shit but it works.

yes please do that im struggling finding info on the voltage regulator thing and having it be cheap. and let me know about those fittings as well. as for loud that never matters as long as its fast lol.

just buy the regulator and be done with it. every car out there with the pump i know off runs a regulator, most people here have no experience with that setup so don't waste your time.
i would recommend going to ls1tech and search, some people use that pump for lsx swaps

ok so i have had an interesting offer sent my way. im getting a sard fpr from a guy and he says that he has a 265 lph in tank pump from sard that he says is the same size as a walbro. So i dont wanna get rid of the a1000 but would the sard pump stand up to 450rwhp?

Are you going to be running larger then 1000cc injectors?

probably not if i do i might just run a booster pump inline
