The car I bought came turbocharged but with a blown motor. I want to reuse the turbo but I don't know exactly what kind it is. It's a Garrett with a .48a/r turbine and .50a/r compressor. Anyone have any idea? I don't know the trim or the wheel diameter. There weren't any marking other than the a/r's. Also, its not internally wastegated. Thanks!

im guessing the trim would be smaller because the actual compressor inlet is a good amount smaller than the rest of the housing. i wish they just stamped the product code on it lol. i want to know how much this turbo can handle and if its the right size for what i intend to use it for
if i had to guess (and its ONLY a guess) i'd say its somewhere close to a 50 trim, give or take

That's a small T3, journal bearing with a Ford-style 5 bolt exhaust housing. It's good for like 350hp, best case. Neat little turbos.

It's defined by it's footprint (T3), inducer/exducer sizes (wheel size in mm), it's trim, and finally by the A/R of the housings. You don't know the wheel size, but guessing by A/R of the housings it's a 50 trim compressor, making it a "small T3". No name. Use it for a 4cyl turbo with a top-mount manifold, or Neukin bottom mount - definitely cool lil turbos.
