I typed in cluster, gauges and dash.
No threads came up that SHOWED how
to take off the cluster.
I have an idea, but i need to be sure.
I'm planning on putting in LEDs.
Any help?

S13? S14? Z32? Pinto? ElCamino?
Remove the shroud, remove the cluster. Dropping the column helps. So does an FSM, which you clearly need to download.

that hardly shows how to pull the cluster, or at least it shows how to pull EVERYTHING including the cluster.
just drop the steering wheel column and undo a couple screws on the bezel and un clip the cluster and pull it out above the steering wheel. takes like 5 mins

takes like 15mins to change out the bulbs in the cluster.

It probably does take 15 minutes AFTER it's removed.
I saw the Nico one already, but i know i saw one on Zilvia that showed exactly how
to take out the cluster only.
I'll still look around, and thanks.

Ok, the things i have a question on is,
do i need to take off the buttons?
Do i have to remove the steering wheel?

Dude, it seriously takes about 15 min. Hell, I've swapped out LEDs for two people on the same night at a car meet with little to no light and it took me about 20-30 min. for each of them. It was just a bitch to get those 12 mm steering column bolts back in place when you can't see where they're going.
If you look around at the parts you need to remove you should be able to figure it out by yourself.

No you don't have to take off the buttons. If you want a little more space to work with it does help.
Steering wheel definitely does not need to be removed.

Sorry to revive a dead thread guys but I could not find information on how many bulbs I'd need to completely replace the entire dash. My dash is suuuper dim and I wanted to change the bulbs to LEDs. Which bulbs do I need to get and how many?
Thanks,

What would be the equivalent bulbs on SuperbrightLEDs? Hehe, I prefer to order from one source. If cannot find, I'll order em'
Did you use all the bulbs?

Hmm... I checked other write ups and no one is doing it right. Here's how to for the cluster removal. I'm adding it just in case someone search this thread.
- Remove scuff plate
- Remove kick panel(where fuses are). 2 screws and 1 plastic clip are there. You need to remove this because one bolt underneath it is holding the lower knee panel.
- Remove 2 screws on hood latch opener
- Unhook the hood latch opener
- Remove all the bolts on knee panel and unhook it from two holes.
- Disconnect floor light plug
- Remove key ring cover
- remove upper and lower steering column covers
- Remove 2 14mm bolts, so you can drop the steering column
- Remove 2 crews on top of cluster trim. You need a short screw driver for this.
- Undo the clips under the cluster trim vents.
- Grab both side of cluster trim, pull down and pull it toward you
- Disconnect plugs behind the cluster trim
- Remove 3 screws that are holding the cluster
- Remove the cluster
I think that's about it. I've done it many times, so I can do it with my eyes closed.
