Ok, so I just picked up a 240 that had been sitting for I don't know how long, but the fuel was garbage and it needed to be removed. After removing the old fuel I replaced the pump, put new gas in and dump some fuel system cleaner in it as well. The car wouldn't read the fuel level, so I figured the unit was damaged by the old fuel, but it began to work out of nowhere after driving it for a couple of days! But the thing is it only reads full or empty... Every once in a while it will dip to the actual fuel level, but then it just goes right back to full or empty. If anyone knows what is going on here I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks for your time zilvia!

Again, I diagnose this problem at least once a week. Do your search.

The level, wiring, and/or gauge to be bad.

The easiest way would be to pull the pump and measure resistance on the sender as you manipulate the float level and see if the resistance changes. Check FSM or my posts for wire colours.

Go on from there.

I searched, but did not find anything regarding my specific issue. Thanks for the input g6civcx! I'll be sure to test it tomorrow. Thanks for your time.
