My 240 is acting weird... well it's not acting at all since it won't even start. I checked the fuse to see if there was one that was out and one of them was. So I get the lights and the radio on. That's good. Next I try to start it, but it still won't start. So I try to jump start the battery with a portable battery. Still nothing. So I try it later again with someone's car and my car doesn't turn on at all. Did I blow out another fuse doing this I wonder? Any ways, does anyone know the problem or have had this problem before? If this is too vague I'll try to give as much information as I can.

Check ALL fuses, not just one or two. Check your battery connections to see if they're tight. This isn't rocket science, make sure everything works before asking such a vague question.

Yes check ALL your fuses again, you may have blown another, but what was your car doing before. Would it crank but not start or would it not even crank at all?

It wouldn't crank at all. I checked all the fuses again a third time and they're fine too. My car isn't getting power and I checked both the battery and the battery connection, that's fine too. It looks like I'll have to have a mechanic come out and take a look at it, cause I've checked everything I can think of to no avail.

check your starter wires, could be loose, maybe bad ground on battery? pour some coke on the terminals, might shed some light..

What do you mean by my car isnt getting any power? Like nothing lights up inside when you turn the key? Your headlights dont work? No dome light or door chimes? If you got nothing check the fusible link off the battery for being blown or fried wires. I've had that happen on customers cars. Is this a SOHC?

If the replacing a fuse got your radio on, I assume you are getting power when the ignition switch is in the ON position, but the starter doesn't engage when you turn the ignition switch to the start position. If that's the case, you may have a bad ignition switch. To check that, you will have to remove your steering column trim and remove the ignition switch.(the white plastic part attached to the ignition lock cylinder, you know the thing you put the key into) With the ignition switch out, you can turn it with a flat head screwdriver. If it starts by that method, but not with the key, you have a worn ignition switch and you will have to replace it.

clean your battery terminals, Check battery voltage(i think you said you did that already.), check your starter might need a new one.

trigger wires like to come loose sometimes- check continuity from batt. neg terminal to engine block - you should have minimal resistance- happend to me i thought i had a dying/dead starter and it ended up being a dirty terminal.
