anyone know what hks bov this is?

i recently got this hks bov and i wana look up info on it but dont know what model. wer do i hook up vacuum to bottom or top? when i got it both nipples on the bov wer hooked up to a t-fitting then to intake port. anyone know?

its a hks super blow off valve. i have one of those lying around as well. just hook up both lines to a vac source from the intake mani and it should work fine.

it is an old HKS BOV. talking about back in mid90's technology. here is what u need to doto make them.. u need to use a boost source from intake manifold. ( t-off from fuel pressure regulater and hook up to the top of BOV ( black pastic one) and the one on the side u only need to use it if u have turbo search. then u hook up a boost source from hot pipe to it.

BOV's aren't that expensive these days, so you might want to look for a newer one soon.

what do you mean by turbo search?

i've got a couple greddy type RS knockoff's at home, and they also have 2 vacuum nipples. i'm curious as to what this is for. IIRC it's something to help it open up faster, right? Vacuum source on the top of the pison to pull it open, and a boost source on the lower nipple to help force it open too?

If that's correct, then i dont see the point of having another vacuum line for a boost port

im might spell it wrong but turbo search is the sound that cause by the pressure from IC pipe push back to turbine in compresser housing,, if u really want to hear how its sound like, take off the vaccume line that disconect to ur BOV and rev ur engine u will hear it..sorry i'm not that good in explaination..

and about ur knockoff freddy RS ..the real RS dont have that port and i do see people modify by drill and tap add on the lower nipple... The lower nipple is mainly just to help BOV to open during on /off throttle

i only took mine off b/c it was leaking
