Yeah so pretty much my ignition switch is shit now. left my car in nohollywood and went back today and started it by tickling the starter. so I get home and currently I'm removing the ignition switch but hell if I know how to do it so I posted some pics maybe someone can point out what screws there are. I searched the threads but can't really decipher what they mean. :naw:
UPDATE: I meant to include how to remove the key cylinder too.

The steering lock is designed so you can't hotwire the car and drive off.
I can answer this question but I refuse to.
Take your car to the dealer or a reputable shop.

Yeah I don't want to hotwire my car, but right now the only way I can start it is by ghetto riggin it with a screwdriver. I just don't want it to attract the wrong kind of attention....
What I meant to say was how to remove the key cylinder and ignition switch.
I read other posts that mentioned a dremel tool and bolt extractor and cutting a slot inside but no pics of how-to....:wtf:
Or using a flathead and hammer and just knocking some bolts or screws out.

Do you really need pics? You see the two bolts that secure the cylinder to the column, and you see they're anti theft design that shear off when tightened to prevent someone just taking it off and stealing the car.
Logic dictates that you cut slots in said bolts to remove them. But that would be too easy for someone with a brain.

Whoa for a second there I thought this was clubcivic or a honda forum. I thought ppl with 240's aren't supposed to be pricks to each other....
Dude I appreciate the help, but did you really have to throw in that last line?
I posted the pics for reference for someone to help and point out what is the bolt that's holding it together. Like I posted up above I really didn't know what other threads meant by using a dremel tool and bolt extractor. As I only have my shitty box o' tools and do not have said tools.
Mods please delete this thread.

You thought wrong. 240SX = new Civic. Plenty of fanboy bangwagon trolls coming on over to act hard on well established forums. Old schoolers like me don't like it. So we're assholes. Get used to it.
