I'm getting a weird vibration noise at certain rpms and when I accelerate. When I hold the shifter arm it stops.
What could it be?

Yes it does happen to all SS. Search for a thread on a fix for that.... which is wrap the counter weight with electrical tap. Counter weight is the hump in the center of the actualy stick...

Mine rattled until I put washer on top of the springs that hold the shifter in place. Remove the round ring from the shifter, you will see the springs I am talking about. Add a couple of washer to make the springs push down harder, it will keep the shifter from rattling. At least it did for me.

What he said, more spring tension will quiet the noise a lot.
