Is there anyone in the US that still imports decent engines? Besides Jhot it seems everyone is kicking the bucket or located in Canada. I would ideally like to find a place semi local to VA to buy a s15 engine set from. I like to look at engines before i buy it. I have delt with several importers around the area (Noyan, JEI, Japanese Engines Inc, etc) over the years, but they don't seem to have any S15 sets. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

I've never heard a swap called a set. I'm guessing you call it that because it's a set of a longblock and a tranny.

Ummm I don't live anywhere close to Canada. Why would I want to buy an engine from them? I specifically stated I'd rather inspect the engine myself before I boguht it if possible.

I have bought well over 30 engines over the past ten years from local importers. But, business seems to be very slow for them lately, and no one has what I currently need in stock.

What the hell relevance does this have with anything? I call it that because that's what it's called. I'm sorry you've never herd of it, maybe get out more? Either way it's irrelevent.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I'm not 100% confined to local importers which is why i didn't put this in regional. I am willing to buy from an importer in another state/region/country as long as I feel they are trustworthy.

Then why did you say locally?

Ether make a thread in you region section asking for local dealers or search for all the threads that cover the national dealers.
