hey every one i have tried searching for this and i keep fixing different things and problem just keeps comming back. Here is the situation, went to go drive my car (89 hatch redtop sr20det) and i hit about 4-5k and the throttle just dies... i go wot and it hits 4k bounces and dies unless i let go, so i pull over and she will not idle. so i go home replace the maf sensor... start her up and idles perfect revs all the way up and getting boost running perfect.
I think the problem is fixed untill driving it not but 10 mins, go to hit boost and same problem.... and i thought that maybe its loading up so i check my spark plugs... the gap was out of limits and well plugs were fouled. so i bought new plugs and air filter. started her up and motor ran awesome.. hit boost and wow had all my power back it was feeling great, but happened again. im frustrated so i get some gas, start it back up and runs good again and even drove it around and had no problems. But of course it happens again so im thinking to myself well wait everytime i turn it off and back on it works fine for a little bit.. something with ecu... ground battery better...?

So i reground battery, ecu, alternator. No fix there just keeps suttering at 4-5k.? Went to autozone and my alternator is good they said, pumping out 143 amps. does not sound right to me but could be wrong. could it be Fuel injectors, coil packs, alternator..? i dont know.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated, been having this problem for about 2 weeks now and just want to drive the car

Has any one had this problem

me and my buddys were talking at work and we came up with maybe its something with the spark. for instance the spark plugs in there lets just say are not the best and maybe the coilpack is cracked and failing under high load.. any thoughts.?
