Building power is easy. Especially with americas concept on how to do it. Screw making it more efficient, lets just make it bigger. Something american car companies have trouble doing is creating a balanced chassis...such as the gtr/gt-s platform, which is something they really need to work on. (naming off a 60-80k special edition corvette isn't going to sway my opinion guys. the statement is a generalization, america has never been known for their handling, only for making straight line power...which is useless.)
I kinda hope our auto industry takes a giant shit. It'll force them to get off their asses, instead of repackaging the same shit with "edgier" body lines.

Maybe your confusing the place where you with the twisting long winding mountain roads of japan or europe. This is american where roads are long and long long and uneventful. Natually american car companies are not gonna invest millions and millions into making a cobalt or an srt-4 or the majority of mass produced cars into a track ripping Elise handling car since the mass majority of our roads contradict having a car of those handling capabilities.

i dont know. im just tired of seeing this american motor bullshit in quality japanese cars. especially such a car. the car is a piece of art as it is. just doesnt fit. and the idea of it sickens me.
taking the coveted "skyline" and putting in a motor that i can pull out of my ass. those motors can be found ANYWHERE. that makes it not so special. even if it wasnt a GTR, it still has an RB25. and you cant tell me that cant be a badass motor.

LSx > RB.

The C6 Z06 with the LS7 typically makes about 530whp STOCK, and gets about 30mpg highway.
I'd say that's pretty fucking efficient.
taking the coveted "skyline" and putting in a motor that i can pull out of my ass.
Wah wah wah. Just because a bunch of fanbois in the USA think that Skylines and RBs are God's gifts to the world, doesn't mean that people in Japan (you know, the guys that see these cars every day) should avoid finding ways to make the car better by using different engines.

Bigger engines make more power in more places. as far as engines go, power output is the number one. not how jdm tyte it is.

What are you talkin about Marcus you're running KA. :duh:
but i didnt take out an sr and replace it. i WORKED WITH WHAT THE CAR CAME WITH. my car is by no means a jdm car. its a little 240sx. and its still a japanese motor. and its still a nissan motor.
and id rather have an sr. i wanted to swap, but its easier to turbo a KA. so i did that.
Bigger engines make more power in more places. as far as engines go, power output is the number one. not how jdm tyte it is.
so bigger is better and bigger is the only way to more power?
so that much power couldnt be made out of the rb?

if nissan had a huge, cheap, easy to swap, lol pushrod v8, every single fanboy in this thread would be wetting them selves.
i hate to break it to you guys but rb's are shit compared to lsx's. show me the highest hp rb you can find and ill show you an lsx with the same hp that was made for half the price. this car is a racecar, why piss more money away? so you can roll up to a pizza shop on a sunday and impress the local ricers? fuck off, flame away you know im right.

Why not ? This is the only skyline with a ls1 motor. I find it to be very unique. Especially if he built specifically for "drifting".
RB are a bad ass motor but how many RB build have we seen in our life time ?
Here's the interview of the owner of why he did the swap.

but he didnt build it to race. if his motive was to build for power, it couldve easily been made from the rb. easily. but power can be made from anything. mustve been for uniqueness/personal preference.

touche, ive always disdained american cars for their general lack of handling (my opinion), but that makes total sense, theres never been any real interest or need in the market for a good handling car, with the majority being front wheel drive sedans, with their main purpose being everyday commute. its almost a cultural difference between japanese and american cars. japanese more focused on track racing with turns (gt500, kart racing, F1, rally), and amercan mentality such as Nascar, indy, and straight up drag cars.

holy haysus tits, that car is awesome. I like Skylines but saying that a Skyline is a "WORK OF ART" ? whatever. They are heavy as shit. I'll take an lsx s chassis, the tens of thousands of money I saved, and a headache free day while I have a car that outperforms or performs as well for WAY cheaper. Cost functionality ftw. Saying a car is a work of art is just showing how the whole jdm tyte bias is coming through.
Christmas is coming, and so will be cam and full headers-back exhaust. 12 second daily NA reliable POWAH. The LS motors are kickass. done and done.

Dude, you are such a loser! "It's not JDM toyte so it's not cool" Get a friggin life! I'm sorry that I don't think flared bodykits and stretched tires are cool. I DO think that suspension geometry, REAL aero, REAL dampers, and REAL tires are cool though. I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone else that tries to tell me how slow or un-cool my car is, let's take it to the track. The r-34 in this thread is badass, and it is even MORE badass because it has a twinturbo LS2 under the hood. The dopeness of this car would be greatly reduced with nothing but another RB under the hood. This car is unique and outright badass, end of story. WTF? American motor bs? If you can pull a engineering work of art like the lsx block out ur ass then you are my new best friend. I dont think you know this but the lsx has a fuckload more engineering time and research in it then the rb26 will ever have. Yes we all love the "godzilla" rb but in the end its nothing more than a baller status, hella stout 2.6 liter. Maybe you should research the lsx a little more and youll find its more of a blessing in the skyline then any rb that was in it.
The rb25 "can" be a badass motor sure. But the lsx "is" a badass motor by any standard. Gtf outta here with ur whack ass arguments backed by complete ignorance. Ill take a lsx 240 over a rb26 240 anyday.
