Haha, not on my car! I run a switch, brah. When my water temp comes up to ~160*F, I flip it on. When I get out of the car, I flip it off. Trillaaaaaaaaah.

I'm so incredibly stoked for this event. Still have to plumb up the power steering (hope my rack is good :/). Hydro ebrake is installed, and needs to be plumbed. Battery tray is fab'd and will pass tech now.

Charlie, you got my entry fee from Jack, right? I want to make sure there are no nasty surprises Sat morning, except for maybe rain, cause that'd save me a set of tires.

There's no snow on the track, but on the dirt around and above it, yeah!

Yeah! There were like 10 drivers, and only 6 or so were on the track at any given time. I actually took breaks on my own, when I could have been out there still, and left early to make it home before I roasted my tires to the belts - also finished off my already-bad front hubs, so every initiation towards the end of the day had to be 100% from the back end, and transitions with just the brakes/ebrake (no steering control during braking or transitions). Oh, and a knocking sound in the front suspension which I hope is just a loose coilover collar.

Nemo was so emo when his car broke, we all felt so bad. I offered to let him drive my car, running perfectly, with full aero, but he couldn't reach the pedals :keke:

New sig is here! No photochopped smoke either ~ even when Jack drove my car, the Nexans just don't grip enough to make big smoke lol.

Also, here's some in-car from JB (deafmonkey7 on Zilvia) and his bullet-cam... this was near the beginning of the day, shows one or two great laps and a bunch of bad ones, including my massive-understeer-into-the-bank-and-break-my-Cwest-bumper run.

The trans is giving me some trouble..

I can't get it on the bellhousing all the way at the top. It shifts kinda rough but that probably because I still need another 1/2 bottle of gear oil..

and I think because its not seated good its making all kinds of noise.

Got the car back.. works good.

The bearings/bushings are making some nasty noises.
Turns out there was an alignment pin on the engine and one stuck inside the bellhousing that wasn't allowing them to seat flush all the way.

That and my pilot bearing is a little fucked from when i blew up my tranny.

All is good though.. More stuff to fix.

My dad was there in a grey sweater, before he put on his black peacoat... but they didn't get there till after lol.

I remember the guy you're talking about - he boned out early in the day IIRC. Had a "drifting" sweater on. He got me spinning out about 54 times before I could link the whole thing... I think he just stopped taking pics of me.
