The stock system bolts up to the cat. Just unbolt it and hook the new one up.
I bet the bolts are frozen/rusted, so I hope you have a breaker bar. Can you use a torch near the cat?

not sure about torch, but the 5zigen gives a set of bolts to come with the catback, so i guess if i force the bolts out (Somehow, since i know for a fact they are rusted) i could bolt it back up.
now the muffler part just hangs right up in place of the OEM right?
i just did the install for my hks hiper a couple wks ago. it's really really easy. one thing though. go buy yourself some pb blast. jack your car up and pb blast all the bolts that keep your stock exhaust up. that would be the 2 bolts that hook up the exhaust to the cat. then you could pb blast the hangers. there's 3-4 of them. forgot. let it sit for a good 30 mins or so. then just unbolt everything and get your stock exhaust off the hangers. your new exhaust just bolts right on to the cat and goes up on the stock hangers. took me about 45 mins to do it and it was my first time doing it too, so don't sweat it :)

Its called PB BLaster. It is a penetrant. Kinda like WD40 but I think it works much better. The only stuff I use. You can find it at pep boys, kragen, schucks, autozone, etc.
