Not sure about the Kakimoto exhaust, but if you are looking for good and quiet try: Tanabe, Fujitsubo or RS*R. Greddy is also fairly quiet.

Original question---> it shouldn't hurt performance at all.

This cracks me up when people ask.

"Does the exhaust sound ricey?"

I mean who in the right mind is going to say

"Yeah it soudns like crap and ricey as hell! "

I mean mean over half the time when people hear a terrible sounding exhaust the owner think it sounds great! lol

Not trying to say anyones sounds bad but I think it is just a funny observation.

Well with a turbo your gonna want the least restrictive exhaust possible.

At this point my 60mm tanabe is hurting things more than helping. Sure it's quite but there's no such thing as a quite exhaust that'll give you maximum hp. Keep that in mind before you make your decision.

Thats because you are making people go deaf with your Greddy DD running on KA with no silencers. you cant hear sh1T:D.. It does sound nice though..

As far as I am concerned, if the dent is not on the piping it should not really affect performance. The kakimoto is a decent exhaust for the money.

I used to have a tanabe g power medallion. it was extremely quiet but the presilencer and tip always got in the way of things. excellent fit and finish though. The replacement, the tanabe hyper medallion (KEINsm has one) is improved and sounds the same. It runs for about $450.

thanks grant... you gave me what i was looking for... but... unfortunately.. there is a lil dent on the piping... at lease from the picture thats what it looks like... but why not spend the extra 100 dollars for a new exhaust? i think ill go with a tanabe hyper medallion now...

thanks again for all the replys... :)

The dent is in the tip, and probably does not even affect the exhaust flow of the tip (looks like it is a dual-walled tip)... Basically, it will not hurt performance at all!
In fact, it probably helps with ground (speed bump) clearance, since your car is lowered... right? ;)
