Nissan calls them "back door stays". The industry standard term would be hatch shocks or struts, depending on whom you ask.
Fixing them would be just like fixing any other gas shocks. Or you can buy them from the dealer, or you can get them from the junkyard.
I don't know why I even try any more.

I bought mine brand new from FRsports. They were cheap, and since you're in Socal you can pick them up.

There's no way to fix them. And you can't buy new ones, anywhere. You'll have to buy a new car.
Seriously, are you fucking retarded? You have a broken OE part, right? Why not call a dealer? Or search online? Or call a fucking auto parts store?

Don't get them from the junkyard, for some reason I got mine from the junkyard (they held up the hatch fine) and when I installed them on my car it just fell and didn't open hahaha.

I'm with projectrdm, sell your car.
Walk into an auto parts store sometime. Walk the aisles and learn as you go. Your next assignment is to walk into a junkyard, yes a junkyard.

dont say that. I just ordered a used one online. I wonder if any of these work after 20 yrs. Rock Auto always has a 5 percent coupon if you google it. The prices vary so much between the stores. you really have to check every parts store each time because the same store is not always the cheapiest. Napa though is pretty consistent about being the most expensive for a given part no..

Think about it. Your 15-20 yr old supports don't work anymore. Why would you think someone else's would? You don't buy 15yr old tires, do you?
