Alright I googled it and zilviaed it and didnt really come up with anything that was legitamate. I was wondering if anyof you on here have ever ran cusco comp s coilovers on an s13, if so how would you compare them to ones like stance basics, megan tracks, various tiens, or powered by max? thanks for the hopeful help ahead of time.

2.5 hours between posts. Relax, people don't live here.

As far as quality, Cusco is miles ahead of anything you mentioned. Ride and handling, depends on how worn they are. The Comp S is a great coilover for track use, very well balanced, but how you'll use them will decide a lot too.

no one has an answer because you could just google the specs and then zilvia search what the spec means for yourself.

it all depends on your style and your driving comfort level .. some people like it stiff .. some people like it soft.

lol, well I was living here for the last 2.5 hours because I have what I think is a pretty good deal on some comp s's but I didnt know anything about them other than the fact that they are made by an awsome brand. The only thing that slightly worries me is that there is no dampening adjustability at all, only ride height.

Also the car as of right now at least would be used manly as a dd but comfort is not a factor for me because I'd be fine with something really stiff. I just dont want something that is so stiff I will lose performance from my tires skipping and such. I also dont need something that is insane, just something that would give me good feel and performance for track days-(both drifting and road coarse runs) and some spirited tougue runs every now and again. These seem as if they would do the trick I would just like to have a couple of dampening settings to choose from. Just wanted to know if anyone has run these on there car, and what they thought about them.

is the spring long or short?
dampening adjustability?
spring rate?
mono tube or twin tube?

these are one of the reasons i told you to google the specs and zilvia search what the specs mean to you as in further definition of what i just said.

if you have a good deal and they are in good shape take em. they are good and again it all depends on how you drive.

Spring rates arent to bad.

Spring Rate - front(7kg/mm)
Spring Rate - rear(5kg/mm)

height adjustment

Height adj. - F(-75 ~ -50) mm
Height adj. - R(-50 ~ -20) mm

They are not dampening adjustable and I am not sure of tube design.

just save your money and get something that has an adjustable dampening rate...most of those coils in that list arent all that great...unless youre in the market for an entry level coilover setup...i would personally recommend you buy a set of JIC FLT-ARs or something around the 2k range...it may seem like a huge investment but theyre worth it in the long run

cheap coilovers tend to have cheap dampers in them...most of the time the weakness of the damper is compensated by a stiffer spring rate...a GOOD damper will work in conjunction with the assigned spring stiffness to create a correct ride instead of a STIFF ride...ok yah when you turn up the stiffness on most dampers they get as hard as a rock...but in cheap dampers when you start playing with adjustable dampening rates there isnt a whole lot of difference and the spring basically makes up for the crappy damper itself

point is (like i said before)...save your money and buy something GOOD...if you dont like them they will resale for a good amount of money should you decide to try something else...but if you do like them they will last you quite a long time and work very predictably

Dude when I got my Ksport gt pro's I thought they were just going to be ehh whatever coils but honestly people dont give them enough credit the deff not the best but they lower the shit out of your car ride amazing and You can adjust the damper setting when ever you want I got mine with pillow ball mounts and I freaking love them and for the price they sell it there amazing =]

I would be getting them for $400 from a friend that barely even used them. I would never spend even 1 g for these though. thanks for the help everyone.

The Cuscos are only $400 and barely used? That is a steal. Get them.

Dampening adjustability is a nice feature, but a set of cuscos for $400? fuck dampening, Id snatch those up for sure :)

Seriously?

Having no damping adjustment itself isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If someone doesn't know how to properly setup their damping setting, it doesn't matter if they are 290753892146519875 way adjustable, the car will still ride like shit because the owner of the dampers doesn't know how to set that shit up to work with the spring rate and the weight of the car.

Cusco basically took that out of the equation by saying "Fuck it, we'll do this shit for the idiots out there so this damper is going to be idiot proof".

Slap it on, drive on it, rock out with your cock out.

Done.

Sad to say, I liked the feel of my old MRs over these...

OooOOOh...just cuz they got CUSCO stamped on it, itll be a great suspension? FUCK NO. I fucking hated my comp S. They were way too fucking soft and having no dampening adj didnt help. Didnt like them for grip, and rolled too damn much. I can only imagine how shitty they would be for drifters...
