bunch of mediocre hondas, then some evos showed up, and some cool ass trucks, then like 12 cops showed up, blocked off the entrances and walked around popping hoods.

it was funny to watch, i was actually the first person they approached, i was joking around about my car being hella fast and they popped the hood... on my 79 'rolla. haha.

they were taking a bunch of pictures and over all everybody had a good time, except the people who got state reffed and got fixit tickets.

Take the motor mount bracket out. Way easier. Just did mines. Undo the oil filter and get 2 long extensions with a U joint

I dont' see the motor coming apart from the transmission unless it was unbolted. 2x4's do the job too. No need to hate I'm just trying to suggest something other than denting an oilpan and then having to replace it.

Some of us, including myself, have a better chance of showing up if it's at night. In fact, I've always met at night. Having stated that:

Serramonte security might ask us to leave if we're just hanging out for too long with our hoods up. And Daly City police are known for not liking people with imports.

(I'm being very polite with my verbiage here, trust me. If we do meet, I'll tell you about the time I got harassed *without provocation* by DCPD behind a supermarket, or the time DCPD crashed into my parked FD while chasing a 16-year-old who stole a Camry - and the cop never even apologized for what he did. I'm not stating that there aren't good DC police officers out there, just facts.)

I'd suggest Nation's at Westlake in Daly City, about a quarter mile off 280 and the Daly City Bart Station.

They're open super late for cheap grub, and there's always a lot of 20's-30's people and plenty of parking there, so we all won't stand out, even if we do have our hoods up.

i usually post on nor-cal240sx.com and there's meets all over. the main ones that everyone goes to are the quickly meets (which will probably die soon and im looking into a different location).

Since i went to the krispy kreme meet this past tuesday, my buddy lay wanted to start having it weekly at yoswirl or krispy kreme, both spots are chill from what he said.

i believe mondays, they have meets up in emeryville.

@juicyjosh, yes i understand late night chatting which i am always down. that's a good suggestion for Nation's (i've been there once when i went bar-hopping on spring break). Daly City is a bad spot now, any other suggestions around sf that we can chill at? sorry to hear about your cars. i know DC cops are doo-doo, ever since popsicle was at cow palace, they be getting people left and right. which is why i stopped going to cow palace events.

925 meets im not sure of. i know nor-cal240sx.com have meet threads all over but they're not as alive as the san jose/milpitas ones.

my goal is to try and get norcal crackin like how it was 4 years ago. i remember going to meets every week or every other week at different locations (majority san jose, milpitas, and fremont).

The Cow Palace area has always been all bad.

One night I got pulled over as I was letting my friend Jason - who is black - out of my car, as I slowed in front of his house to let him out. They took both our Driver's Licences, and after 10 minutes of not finding any reason for the racial profiling pull-over, they let us go on our way, since they had no reason to pull us over in the first place. So it took them 10 minutes to realize that where I had stopped was Jason's address, which is on his Driver's Licence....

Another night as I was dropping off my friend Martha at her house I was pulled over at 7:00pm. I got pulled over again at 7:07pm after I dropped her off.

I was obeying all traffic regulations at all of these times.

san jose cops are dicks but some of them are chill.

one night when i just dropped off my friend, i drive and i see a cop. he turns on his stuff and pulls me over. normal routine, he asks if i had anything modded. i told him nothing besides the exhaust. he lets me go with a warning about my exhaust being too loud (this was about 3am).

5mins later i see another cop and i get pulled over (im like man i knew it). he walks up to my window and i hand him my papers and license. before he said anything i told him i just got pulled over. he checks on the radio in his car, walks back to my car, and hands me my stuff. he goes back to his car and starts his car and im confused if i should go or not so i just drove and went to sleep.

Krispy Creme's is one block from DCPD, and there's always cops in the parking lot, due to it's proximity to the police station, and the fact that cops are always seen where there's donuts.

I used to always meet at Starbucks at Gellert. This is just up the street from Serramonte, although it is kind of isolated at night. Since coffee shops are hang out spots, we could do that. Plenty of parking, and my friends and I have never been given trouble by cops.

I still recommend Nations at Westlake in DC. We could be eating outside with our cars because Nations is always full inside, so people are always outside anyway.

There's also another Starbucks across the parking lot if people want coffee.

off-track: there was a nation's in san jose, but they went out of business. i've always wanted to try their burgers too.

I quit my job, and this summer I'm studying hard-core for my MCAT in August. I've actually been up all night.

My only restrictions are self-imposed in that I only go out on Saturday nights until Aug 19 - test day.
