All right I just picked up a set of Blitz Gun Metal Blue wheels from Logan (Thanks) the other day and bought tires from Big O Tires. I would done this else where, but I'm running out of time because I will be flying out overseas for work on Wed and these wheels are coming along for a Cerfio A31.
Any ways I discovered a scratch along the edge of the wheel. Can this type of damage be fixed? I I've had my 57 pro repaired, I don't know about a cost aluminum wheel fully painted.
I'll be calling Big O Tires in the morning and see what they can do.

I know - that what I will be thinking. But they pulled them out of a NEW box - they know the wheels were brand new.

why do people still go to these tire shops?
they are the WORST!!
1/2 trained people w/ equip that suitable to work on a daily driver, nothing w/ nice wheels
good luck if they will do anything
take it as a lesson.

yup, what he said ^^^
i've had a horrible experience with Big O tires as well..
i've never gone back to a big name tire shop.
city tire or bust!
Big O will not sell me tires or mount my tires "its an altered car". They screwed up a friends wheels all 6 of them from scratches to hammering on the weights. He is waiting for his court day

Alot of places even have signs that say if its a low profile tire they are not liable for the damage done to the rim if it were to happen, atleast the local tire shops around here do =/

At my shop, if we scratch a wheel, we get it fixed, end of story.
Pursue them until they repair, or reimburse for repairs.

listen to this guy if you have a vagina.
if you have male reproductive organs, pursue it. big O will give you a hard time HOPING youll squirrel out of it like this guy would. but in the end, youll get them fixed.
post pics of the ciffy.
I got my tires mounted at fletchers, they did a good job
instead of just dropping the wheels off and leave, make sure you talk to the person who will be putting them on and stress that you don't want them marked up and want the weights on the inside of the wheel ( dynamic balancing I believe is the tech name ).

i read that youre leaving town. before i even called big O, i would call 3 mobile rim repair shops. they often go to car dealerships and touch up rims on the lot that lot boys curb up. get 3 quotes in writing.
then find 3 (if possible) powdercoat places, get 3 quotes.
take those to big O and let them take the middle one, pay you and give that cash to the guy youre giving the wheels to. thats about all you can do. then let hte owner of the wheel decide if he wants to get them touched up and coated. if i were the owner id use that opportunity to get them done a custom color.

I don't know why people go to regular ass tire shops like that in the first place.
I'm pretty sure they aren't liable for damage.
Think it even says so in the contract that you sign.

i guess you could say i got lucky
i went to my local tire shop with my own tires and brand new work wheels to get mounted. the little tire guys were ripping them out of the box then lucky the owner walks up and is like hell no. he tells them to put them back in the box and says his guys will fuck them up. then he tell me where to take them in my eyes thats cool he could of just taken my money and let them fuck up the wheels.
to the op good luck man
