couldn't you just buy one and sell the other and have a free truck?

Dousan_PG
11-23-2008, 12:53 AM

Sell the other one REALLY cheap, like 10k brand ass new, still less than 10 miles on it, it'd be like getting a huge discount on the one that you actually keep.

I work in the motor trade, for Honda.

A similar thing is happeneing in the UK with some places. Dodge Avenger 2 for 1 and Kia 2 for 1 at the moment.

You won't be able to sell the second one for fuck all though. Dodge have officially just HALVED the residual value of their cars. Nice move.

Meanwhile, Honda have just put their prices UP.:fawk:

Oh and HOW CHEAP ARE CARS OVER THERE?!

EG - Our CHEAPEST Dodge Patriot is £15995, list price, thats $23,782, compared with your list of $17,370.

Not that anyone over here cares as we all know Jeep/Dodge etc suck ass.

i would think you are responsible for the tax, license and maybe a dealer process/document fee for the 2nd car.

Quick, someone buy the 2 for 1 and I'll buy the other for 10k

!Zar!
11-23-2008, 11:27 AM
Wouldn't the buyer have to pay the tax on the second one though?

yes, but who cares.

Honestly though, I NEVER buy new. Buying new is for people who can't work on their car. If the body or interior is in bad shape, that's one thing but saving miles on the motor is pointless when you're talking about a truck like a Cummins diesel. You could EASILY find a 06 4door Cummins diesel for really cheap right now.

:blah: dude why would you never want to buy a NEW truck? You will be buying a truck that hasnt gotten an ass from anybody and smells good, nice brand new ride, ac /power steering/ etc.... everything that works that will be a good truck for years and years. Well atleast to me i think that way. I hope to buy a brand new truck or car once im finished with college/have career/buy house/ buy new truck:cool:

More like for people that don't want to deal with a shitty old car. I'll be damned if I ever buy a used car other than a 100% project after I graduate.

I work at a dodge dealership and we recently had a deal where you buy a ram and you get a dakota for $1. Also, employee costs right now are almost 50% off the list price.

jeese they still sell pt losers. when is the domestic industry going to learn that they need to continually update their small cars..
there've been what 3 generations of civics for one cosmetic redesign of the focus.

and that pt thing is still the same car after what like 8 years.. come onnnn the s13 only lasted 5years here for example

Haha wow...
the american auto industry is going downhill.
Dodge Rams are nice trucks too...
If only Nissan can do something like that...
Buy a Titan and get a Frontier free...
I'd jump on a deal like that asap...lol
Too bad Japanese automakers don't need that extra push.

Didn't any of you guys read what heiyuu wrote? You are paying more, PLUS tax, plus title, plus you have to take the time to sell the damn thing, and you won't recoup the price you paid instead of haggling. I highly doubt anybody will fall for this.
