I ordered those, but they were backordered and switched to the battle version rods. phase2motortrend said the battleversion rods are better quality. I really doubt there is much difference tho. IMO a pillowball tc rod is a pillowball tc rod, choose it based on price.

I have the EB rods. They are great. Generally speaking, one spherical bushing t/c rod is as good as another.
Just be prepared for HARSH steering feel.

I got my Monkey Magic's from IPN industries. I dunno if they still carry them.

For anyone willing to take a chance, there are a couple people offering pillowball TC rods on eBay that usually go for $120-$150 for the pair. They don't look as nice as BV or Eastbear (they're a bit heavier looking, painted instead of polished, etc) but from a functional point of view I can't see how they'd be different... some of them (such as the "RVM" or "Matsumotor" brands) even have a grease fitting.
I almost got a set of the "Top Speed" brand last night but it got sniped at the last minute... yay eBay..

the URAS (Monkey Magic) bars are almost twice as thick (ok maybe 1 1/2) as Tein tension rods. the other nice feature is that the URAS bars have a rubber protective jacket over the bearing part (i think Cusco and some other companies have this too). although, it feels like the URAS is made out of some heavy gauge aluminum (or someother composite alloy) as opposed to steel like most others, i dunno if this makes any difference in the integrity of the bar... oh and it's a nicer shade of green then the Teins don't you think :D
Yes, my Monkey Magic / URAS Tension Rods are the shiot :) Kazama, JIC make ones just like them just so everyone knows.

YUP!... have to agree w/ you on that West... the bars are really nice, and cheaper than most to boot... just to let you guys know, there's a guy on Freshalloy selling new URAS bars for S14 for only $160 shipped (which is almost what they retail for in Japan)
