I need to buy a set of new tires, I keep buying these used tires, and I figured I could do this until I got some wheels, but I'm not getting wheels until after my paint job, so I'm going to buy some new 15" tires...

Any suggestions?

I was looking @ phase2, and they had federal SS595, how good are they?
I want some grippy tires. Don't do much drifting, most of my activities are grip.

Suggestions go go!

alright I'll check it out right now

What size do I need for OE Nissan Wheels? Or does it matter, just so long as the tire width is the same.

...really?

BFG G Force Sport.

x2.

I ran two full sets on my old S13 and LOVED them.

They're extremely grippy.

Not very stretch friendly, but you shouldn't be using a tire like that to stretch anyway.

I'm not sure... Where could I find that out?------ looked in the FSM

Road wheel Steel 6-JJx 15
Aluminum 6-JJx 15
Offset mm (in) 40 (1.57)

Conventional 195/60R 15 86H
205/60R 15 89H *

Cool. And what exactly do you mean by stretch?

When would I want tire stretch.

As in, mounting a 215/45 on a 17x9 rim.

It's not that much of a stretch, but the sidewalls on G-Force sport tires is thick. So, it's hard to stretch that tire onto a bigger rim.

So it's now 2 for 2.

So which have better takeoff capabilities, the Falken or BFG.

Better Size and Cheaper.

GForce Sports are 340 Tread Wear and the RT-615's are 200. Which do you think will last longer?

Point taken, and money isn't exactly falling out of my ass.

Thanks :)

Get them from DTD

Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?pc=38436&counter=1&ar=55&rd=15&sw=false&cs=205)

$83 each shipped.

Look around on DTD there are even cheaper tires with smaller sidewalls and stuff you can play around with.

Get a better deal, unless you're tracking or racing your car, then spend a little more and get a set of tires that will last you and you can have fun with (not that the G-sports are a bad suggestion)

it's a stock wheel save your money and get a cheap tire, not worth upgrading tire compound.

He's referring to the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R, but I don't think they have any 240 friendly 15" sizes anymore. All I can find anymore are 195/50-15's, but I know they at some point had 205/60-15's because I used to run a set. They are great tires, but there was still a ton of sidewall flex in the sidewall. I've had the BFG's, SS595, SS535, and RT-615's... for a DD Id get a set of SS595, or wait on the 595evo to come out in 15" sizes. If you run short events (ie... no track days) a lot Id suggest the RT615's, but they do wear out fairly quickly.

I love Kumho Ecsta's. They are soft tread though so they don't last very long but they are extremely grippy.

If you want your tires to NOT suck on a 15" tire don't get any sidewall larger than a 55 series...

Seriously wtf would you even do that?

I wish Kuhmo still made the SPT in a 205/55/15. Those tires were rad. SOOOO much cornering grip in the rain, and pretty damn fine dry cornering as well.
