OK, my stock crank pulley was messed up when I got the engine so I bought the ASP crank pulley the other day. I did this dispite what everyone said about the dangers and what not and said eh, if it happens it happens. First off the install is a complete pain in the ass. My crank pulley didnt want to come off, the puller I borrowed didnt work, my seal was completely worn (which made me look at some of my other seals too) and then it was a pain to put the ASP pulley on (not really but torquing its a biotch). So after a large headache I took the car for a drive. It was both good and bad. My HP was improved a ton I could see the gain there, but then my butt dyno told me I had lost alot of toruque. Well today I went and replace the sparkplugs in my car and took the car out agian, heres what I realized, my clucth is slipping alot when I jump on it in first-third gears, If I let the car come back down and then hit it the car takes off and it doesnt seem like Ive lost any torque, maybe gained some. So my final verdict is ASP Crank Pulley good, stock clutch bad. yet another reason why my turbos not on yet.
