Anyone going to go see this? I'm going to go tomorrow. I love a good Vampire movie almost as much as I love a good zombie movie.

Here's the trailer if you haven't seen the whole trailer.

The whole movie my jaw was on the floor. It's probably my favorite movie of all time.

Twas' Sooper ghey, vampires that don't die in sunlight? They sparkle? wtf? and it was uber cheesy as well, which I fully expected as it was more of a love story than anything else, but it was honestly hard to stomach at some points.

How were they?

They were entertaining and easy to read. It's a high school vampire love story so don't expect any epiphanies, but they were enjoyable. My wife got into reading them and wanted me to give them a try, so I started the first one, then eventually found myself at the end of the fourth one...

Book is pretty dope.

im like halfway through the second one now.

i wouldn't exactaly call it great literature but its really easy to read and entertaining as fuck from cover to cover, perfect for the slow season at the hotel.

im iffy about watching the movie however.

i bought my girlfriend the book and im thinking about watching it with her after she's done with the book. so i was wondering if the movie spoils anything from the second book? because im planning on buying her the second one too.

My girlfriend read all 4 books, so of course I was obligated to take her to go see the movie. You have no idea how excited she was to see it. I wasnt looking forward to it, and when we got to the theater and saw the entire place was overrun with 12 or 13 year old girls all wearing 'Twilight' t-shirts, I was really not too happy. BUT, the movie actually ended up being okay. Don't go if you're a big vampire fan, the author really wrote a lot of her own rules about what a vampire is, does, etc. I went in expecting the worst but I would have to say it was worth the 7 bucks for the matinee ticket. Plus the vampire girls are pretty hot, especially the chick who played Alice Cullen. This picture really doesnt do her justice.

"oh i love you mortal girl, but im a vampire." " oh its ok i totally want ur vampire seed." he doesnt even bite her or some shit? and then the brothers battle? barf in my mouth.

and aparently there is a book, which sound even more gay. this thread should die

Yeah no shit, it wasn't even close to being as bad as The Happening. I took my sister to see it. It was a little slow at times, the acting was lame in some parts and the love story was a bit much sometimes too. But it wasn't anything like The Happening, I was actually able to stay awake during Twilight.

I think he probably was expecting some in your face kick ass vampire movie, not a teen love story.
My sister said the rest of the books are a lot more intense and fast paced so hopefully the next ones will be better.

I havnt seen a movie in 2 years at the theater and i was dragged out to see this.. WORST FVKING OVERHYPED MOVIE I SAW SINCE BLAIR WITCH. Seriously, the whole theater was filled with high school girls. It was not a romance movie, it was a freaken little girl emoish flick. The script was so bad in points that older people were laughing. I love vamp movies too, this thing was just horrible.

It had the potential to get good somewhere in the middle, but oh man did they screw it up bad.

The beginning was so bad i wanted to walk out, but i was with my family.. Seriously they tried to set it up as this love story but the main characters have no chemistry. The main character cant really act..

To top it off, there way WAY to little of Alice Cullen.. I dont know her real name but her pics already in this thread. Girl is so damn fine in that movie.

Oh and the ending? Not only did i want to vomit(as i did throughout many points in the movie), but then it ended with some weird twist that made really no sense at all.

Seriously, dont waist your time on this.

I can see how the book might be good however, the story line itself seemed ok. Still seemed very estrogen based. ;D

On the plus side i watched Iron Man after it which was a kick ass movie, it still didnt fix the damage that Twilight has done. Even today, a day after, that crap is still stuck in my head.

My fiance was into them for awhile so i decided to read em before the movie, the movie followed the first book pretty closley, although the book is alot more detailed. my fav character is jacob so far i kinda think him and his friends turning into werewolfs and savagely killing the vampires is pretty cool.

the author did take A LOT of liberties about vampires, but on the hole the movie was not good!

The main character was waaaayyy too awkward for the situations. And then Edward was just plain dumb. wtf is that bull shit "what if I'm the bad guy" no bad guy would say that, fuck no good guy would say that either. ooo he fucking catches an apple with his mad hacky sack skills. sooo not fucking impressed. Ohhh the black guy wasn't that bad of a bad guy.. way to dogdge racial tensions there, with the 1 black vampire. And the other black kid acting stupid! riiiiiiightt... fuck it is a fun movie to laugh at.

Soooo did anyone see New Moon?

Come on guys, don't lie. You know your GF's dragged you.

Or if you are like me, dragged your wife. lol

I'm secure enough in my manhood to admit that I like something that is intended for tweens.

We saw the second movie on Sun and I enjoyed it. I like the whole Wolf vs Vampire deal. IMO it's done well.

The acting is on point with the previous movie. That is, it's not very good. I don't really like the dude that plays Edward. He'd be way more awesome if he was the dude that plays Stephen Salvatore, Paul Wesley.

I just started reading Twilight yesterday becuase I wanted to know what happens in the third movie/book but a lady I work with wouldn't tell me but said she would lend the books to me to read if i wanted. I don't read enough...er at all (other then the internet or magazines) so why not.

So yes, series is one of my many guilty pleasures.

brave man. haha. my girlfriend is a fan of the novels, although she's a bit too old to be caught up the 13 year old swoon. she hated the first movie because she's a book snob. so i'm off the hook for new moon. ironically, i thought the first movie was watchable... decently mediocre. i guess it's because i never read the novels.

I'm about a 1/4 of the way through the first book, and I'm not like BLOWN away by the novel vs the movie. Sure there's more in the book, but that is natural. I guess I'll see when I'm done with the book in a couple days.

i read the Harry Potter series, and started well after it would have been age appropriate.
having never read a Twilight book, i can't really compare the writing quality... ah well. a buddy of mine teaches sixth graders and read the first one so he could have something to talk about with his students other than why their popular music is shit, and he said it's a pretty crappy read.

then turn on MTV and instead of music videos, watch reality shows about teenage girls. god dammit.
then turn on VH1 and instead of music videos or behind the music, watch reality shows about some chick who fucks too much. GOD DAMMIT.
then go to a skate shop looking for straight cut jeans and only find skinny jeans and form-fitting t-shirts. FUCKING WHAT THE FUCK
then go to the movie theater with a gun and fix the world.

With New Moon likely to make yet another metric fuckload of money this weekend we need to find the bright side to the entire Twilight mania. There must be something good that comes from this awful Mormon fantasy that seems to have invaded our culture on every front. That something is the eventual movie version of Breaking Dawn.

Even though New Moon has made a bazillion dollars and even though the third Twilight book, Eclipse, is already filming, Summit has declined to announce the fourth and final Twilight book as a movie. There's a good reason for this: Breaking Dawn is completely fucking insane, and it is probably totally unfilmable. But if they do film it... man, we are in for a treat.

Breaking Dawn opens with Bella Swan, the lacteal heroine of the series, finally getting married to Edward Cullen, the mopey vampire hero. They go off to honeymoon on Isle Esme, a Brazilian island the Cullen clan owns (this is already ridiculous beyond belief. Imagine a vampire going snorkeling; it basically happens in this book), and Edward is afraid to fuck his new bride. The reason: he's super strong and she's just a human - Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex (http://www.rawbw.com/%7Esvw/superman.html) type of situation here. But Bella wears him down and Edward throws it in her - and knocks her the fuck out, leaving her badly bruised.

Let's go over that again: Edward fucks Bella into unconsciousness. This alone should have you running to Fandango to pre-order your tickets, but it only gets better.

Despite being knocked out cold by his sexual style (and having the headboard destroyed), Bella goes back to Edward for seconds. This time he knocks her up. Yes, an undead vampire apparently has enough viable sperm to impregnate a human woman while fucking her off the coast of Rio de Janero. Stephenie Meyer, you fabulous idiot!

The baby in Bella's belly starts growing incredibly fast. And it starts hurting Bella, as each kick it gives has the super strength of a vampire behind it. As it grows, Bella gets sicker, and then the good stuff starts. The baby kicks so hard it breaks Bella's ribs and then severs her spine. Are you imagining Kristen Stewart wearing a fake pregnancy belly and pretending to have been suddenly crippled by her own fetus? Because I am and it's making me laugh and laugh and laugh.

Oh wait, I missed something. Edward is completely freaked out about the baby, fearing it will kill Bella. He tries to convince her to get an abortion (but seriously, how could she? Vampires are tough to kill even in this shitty series), and goes so far as asking Native American wolfboy Jacob to impregnate his wife so that she can have the baby she desperately wants. I'm dizzy with how ridiculous this is, and we're just getting started.

Eventually the baby starts to get born and Bella is dying. The baby has telepathy, by the way, so everybody can read its thoughts while it's in the womb, and it turns out to have an essentially adult mind. Like Alia in Dune; I would accuse Stephenie Meyer of ripping this off, but anyone who thinks that Meyer might have read Frank Herbert has never been within spitting distance of Twilight. The woman is a moron.

In a moment that demands to be shown on the silver screen, Edward gives Bella an emergency C-section with his fucking teeth. It's like something out of XTro, for the love of God. It's so horrible it's brilliant, and this scene alone is why I remain firm in declaring that David Cronenberg must direct Breaking Dawn. This is surely his movie.

Once the baby is out, Bella gets vamped by Edward, as she's about to die at any moment. Then comes the most astonishing turn of events in 21st century literature, and possibly in the entire history of awful fiction aimed at tweens: Jacob the werewolf, who has been madly in love with Bella, sees the new baby girl and immediately imprints on her. What this means, in layman's terms, is that he falls in love with the baby.

I want to pull this out on its own: Jacob falls in love with a baby.

The book makes no bones about this; while Jacob doesn't want to fuck the baby right off the bat, he can't stand to be away from it and visits everyday. His love has been transferred from Bella to the baby (who has the tongue shattering name Renesmee), and because of the science behind imprinting he'll love her forever. So one day he's going to stick his wolf dick in this girl that he see as a bloody newborn. Romance is not dead, it's just being abused by insane Mormon writers.

There's more in Breaking Dawn - the Volturi come back, for one thing - but these are the main amazing events that demand this book to be turned into a film. I will not rest until I have seen a movie in which a werewolf falls in love with a baby. Hell, once I've seen a werewolf fall in love with a baby I may quit movie watching - I will have seen the ultimate culmination of a century of cinema. The entire film of Breaking Dawn would play like the weirdest exploitation film since Doris Wishman died - brutal sex, bizarre body horror, unbelievable pedophilia.

A werewolf falling in love with a baby. This is why Thomas Edison invented this shit in the first place. So we could see a werewolf fall in love with a baby.
