Well, what do YOU think? What do you like and dislike about your 240SX? What do you like and dislike about the 300ZX? One thing to consider is the maintenance costs of a 300ZX. I hung around there for a while, because I considered selling my S14 and buying a Z32. Almost everybody there will tell you to make sure you have a couple thou saved up for the "just in case" fund. It's expensive labor to fix anything on them--basically it seems like the car was built around the engine. Not much goes wrong, but the timing belt must be changed every 60k miles--the 60k mile service is anywhere from $800-$1100.

List the pros and cons, that should help your decision.

Indeed, the cars are in different classes.

The 240 is a lighter, more tossable car, the Z is faster, and likely more comfortable (being heavier). They will feel different, act different, sound different. . . Z insurance will be more expensive, and most repairs will be as well (due to it's pita close quarters engine bay), but I consider it to be a more capable car.

Test drive them both

which car would u be more comfortable driving? which car is easier for u to maintain? which car is easier on ur wallet? it's good to be asking for ppl's opinions, but, u should be asking urself questions because we won't be driving ur car, u will.

personally, i'd sell the S14 and buy a Vespa. :D

I can agree to that. A friend of mine bout a 91 TT and has already put almost $3k into the thing, and that's all for maintenance. (The fact that he had to replace the airbag sedning unit didn't help)

I will say its a beautiful car and when he gets the thing to where he wants it, it will be fast. But he's already scared off my 240SX (gotta love the power/weight ratios).

In short, do what you want. They're both great cars, its all a matter of personal preference.
